28/10 calliope air conditioning attended vessel, found drain line disconnected in wheelhouse unit. Unit still struggles to cool between 1300 and 1700 when stationary
30/10 conducted - 500 & 250 hour services on both main engines and gearboxes - 250 & 500 hour service to Genset - changed out port thermostat - repaired STB exhaust manifold welsh plug leak - replaced oring in STB hydraulic power pack - replaced fire proof sealing in both aft dampeners - replaced port and STB toilet door locks
31/10 Genset ventilation thermo fan replaced with new
1/11 memo sent to all masters stating gearbox must be checked for astern propulsion prior to close quarters when berthing as well as critical breakdown procedures in the event of control failure (emergency backup control initiation, MOC in process of being implemented into SMS
4/11 section 6 of vessels SMS has been reprinted, crews required to refresh on updates / additions and sign both Vessels SMS and MOC’s in crib room
vessels clears are ready to refitted at next availability also new generator has arrived and awaiting directions to also be fitted.
No changes to general operations, dredge Brisbane and pacific titan still dredging / bed leveling in the area
be aware that both stb side berths have had spring line lengthened to slightly longer then port berths, assume canaipa has adjusted to suit there needs.
fuel receipts are not printing currently and only have 1 high flow handle available still which does have small drip / leak both of which has been reported to office to follow up with Baileys
Still waiting for defibrillator pads to be changed out by Conoco paramedic, pads on back order.
Both lube oil dipsticks cracked , MRF is lodged ..
