Hi Annemaree,
boat is running ok.
Fire equipment has been serviced, fire hoses have been replaced, all new certificates are in the SMS.
First Aid kit was meant to be done on Tuesday the 21th but Cindy run out of time, please take up the crib room for service on Wednesday 22nd.
The Stbd aft liferaft was fitted the wrong way around during the last service and the bowsing line was tight off in the hydrostatic release instead of the painter. I've changed those 2 lines around for now and sent an email to maintenance and office to rotate the raft the right way, see email.
Just a couple of things for the shutdown:
- an announcement has to be made on every run in regards to wearing the masks correctly for the duration of the voyage. We have been doing this after the safety message has played. See flagged email
- on both 0530 and 1730 run we have to make sure that Parangool gets in first and unloads all pax before we start to disembark. See flagged email
- on arrival at QC4 on the 0530 and the 1730 run we have to make an announcement other than the usual one and sound 2 chimes, 1st chime to disembark QGC operations and War room personnel. See flagged email. We had a bit of trouble to get them to listen and everyone kept standing up and go at the first chime, but it seems to be getting better.
-Parangool nightshift crew is supposed to come and do our PreStart and shutdowns as per Willie email. What we did with Ross and Glen is that they were coming over and do the lock out tag out form and all oil and fluid checks for both engine rooms and jet rooms and also all the fire alarm checks. When we come onboard in the morning we are opening all seacocks and turn on all batteries, start up and make sure all was good and crew single up lines and do bow anchor and Nav lights check. It has worked fine for us but up to you what you prefer to do. At night time we have been doing shutdown and wash down ourselfs, we seem to have enough time to get it done, but again is up to you what you prefer doing.
I think that's all, give me a call if you need anything.
Have a good swing,
Ale.
