- New insurance documents in sms / old ones taken to office - received 20/04/2022
- it has been noted by ESA fire on our fixed fire system certificates that our fm200 is to be pressure tested in April 22, I'm not aware of this happening so I sent an email to Cindy/Willie. Cindy confirmed that the fm200 cyclinders will be replaced. Also I have noticed a missing test tag on our fire hose, Cindy is chasing this up for us.
- Starboard main engine faults still regular - we have been asked by Gene & Willie to maintain a log, I have been using the back side of engineers log.
- When I swung on I felt the vessel has a little more vibration then what it normally does, I have put a MRF in for this and I have been running the mains at 1650 rpm where I can it seems to be more economical and smoother, we are still getting around 17-17.5 pushing tide. However there is still times and runs that I have needed to use 1750rpm. -AMSA focused inspection 28/04/22 - all okay
- we had a control failure on the 29/04/22, whilst rounding east cardinal on approach FLNE vessel was slowed and returned to neutral position on both engines approximately 150m out from the berth, when I went to engage there was nothing available ahead or astern on both sides. I managed to get the starboard to engage and manouvered the vessel into safe water to investigate. After checking Cruise two was selected and shutting down and restarting mains and selecting cruise 1 and switching to cruise 2 I eventually regained control of both gearbox's. Maintenance attended and have found no faults, so we are unsure of the cause. Incident report was submitted for this.
- three monthly's were due 11/05, however we have completed and submitted on the 6/05 to avoid them being due on the first day of your swing. - steering has been operating well and has not dropped out this swing, must have been the relay that Brodie changed out that was causing it. - monthly's were completed 02/05
- see email regarding covering BK's 0830 on the 25/05 for bks harbour tour. - Nathan changed out the port shaft seal pump and is working fine now 01/05/2022
- Genset had 500hr service 01/05/2022
- ramps at FLNE have been repaired
- port side engine room is still accumulating water each day - 5-10litres over a 24hr period. May possibly be coming from tide seal.
