Welcome back.
Main engines,
Port side hunting at 1140 rpm up to1280 rpm, only happened once.
Starboard side seems ok,
Stb side seems lazy on start up every now and again, maybe the batteries or alternator are on there way out.
Stb side steering ram leaking oil, have noted on weeklys. Shaun knows about it.
I was bored one day and started playing around with the stb control panel on the dash, now the critical low fuel alarm comes on every now and again, just press the x to silence it.
Generator, seems good, as you know the door doesn't lock probably, just have to move the door around and it locks.
Services are over due on all engines, luke and the engineers know about it.......completed.
They collected the maintenance log and will arrange everything from there end.
Sharkey and shaun had words at the xmas party and sharkey has been stood down and torresian had engine problems,
So there under staffed at the moment, so it will take a while to get things done.
Test and tag needs to be done, luke knows, i had sharkey coming down to do it, but he is no longer, maybe chase it up one day.
Liferaft has been replaced and back on the roof, now due 27.11.17
Theres a new msds folder and a new sms that needs to be read and signed off. Once everyone signs off we can throw the old signatures form away.
New boat phone, numbers on the back.
Just a reminder when theres a ship in to ring the marine supers and let them know your leaving site, no need to ring them on scheduled runs, mainly for crew changes.
I chased up the tear drop fenders, says there been delivered, not sure where there gone, but theres a certain ambulance boat that has two new fenders, should have them by the time you read this.
Not sure whats happening with the black fender on the starboard shoulder. We just put some black tape on it, so it doesnt stand out as much.
We got new saftey cards and jodi and Anthony put them on the back of the seats.
We had msq audits last week, Christopher B and trojan werent inspected.
We put most of the cleaning products down stairs and just left a couple of things that we use regularly near the fridge.
I put the bravo flag in the spill kit.
Theres a gas ship due in today around midday, check all emails, delayed to saturday the 26th.
We tie up at the bab, bow out, with fenders fwd and aft, nick put some snotters there to tie the springers to, seems to work pretty good, use the rope on the boat, saves worrying about the boat moving back and forth.
Mandalay finished on sunday, looks like dancer will be doing runs out of qc1.
Cleaned the genset , main engines and air con strainers.
Theres an email about berthing in the marina, basically the 35s stay where they are, the 24s and duffy in front of the 35s and trojan and Christopher B alternate on the side berth..
Parangool has been doing bruce transfers, but aaron patton has hurt his foot so parangool crew are filling in on trojan,
So we've been doing the transfers, night crew have been doing the morning transfer at 6am and finishing at 7 to 715am, just put in a time sheet for the overtime, Dave rang on sunday and said for day crew to come in at 6am and do the transfer to give night crew a break from it, and put a timesheet in for the half over overtime.
Completed oil changes on monday the 21st.
Changed fuel filters on both mains and genset.
Genset water pump was leaking, swapped it out on monday the 21st.
Cleaned air filters on both mains.
Swapped both fan belts on port and stb mains.
As you probably know we dont need to fill out the hse and dugong reports.
I was looking through dataweb and came across a list of certificates for Chritopher B and the certificate of pollution insurance expires on the 31.12.15, not sure what the go is with it.
I asked jake to put gl6 and small craft anchorage on the daily log sheet, hasn't done so yet.
Ship due in on saturday the 26th, refer to email, 30 day rolling ship schedule. Now xmas day, see latest email.
Vacuumed out engine bays and wiped down.
