Brahminy Kite Handover notes 25/1/22
* public holiday timetable/schedule in place for Wednesday 26/1/22
* email received 1515 hrs 25/1/22 stating to use pump 4 at service wharf until AMPOL have confirmed that pump 2 is safe to use
* see flagged emails
* masks to be worn by crew and passengers correctly as flagged email states
* Test and tag was completed 11/1/22,
* Removed small amount of coolant from both main engines as it was over the maximum mark on both mains as there is no expansion tank
* Stbd main had slight coolant leak on Welch plug exhaust manifold at start of swing ,Brody is in the loop, the bung was resecured on 23/1/22 with new seal all ok now.
* Temperature check reminder email issued 13/1/22
* Scott Wallace storeman has left sealink for new endeavours 14/1/22
* spare mooring lines spliced and stretched ready for use stowed in port fwd hatch
* 2lt nylex pump spray bottle was broken, so we ordered a new one and management wouldn’t approve it, so we have been using the wurth spray bottle with disinfectant and have labelled with spring rain, see email thread posted 13/1/22
* new sticker for Genset hatch stating PFDs to be worn on roof area has been ordered via email with Cindy, however she is out of office until 7/2/22 so you can expect it to turn up after this date sometime, have also ordered sticker to label fire alarm control panel on dash port and stbd as recommended on fire certificates
* The fire certificates state that new thermal sensors be installed, Gene advises that they are coming from USA,
* Fire certificates for new fm 200 bottles are not on vessel, Gene advises we are waiting from contractor to receive them
* No tags on fire hoses however we do have a certificate stating they are in current test, Gene investigating if they need to have a tag on hoses
* Fire extinguishers have been stamped August suggesting that new stamp required in February, however certificates state September 1 so we may not see fire systems serviced until March? Spoke with Gene he will look into it
* Genset was serviced 250 + 500 hr on 23/1/22 @ 7777 hrs, mains 250 hr service anodes changed as well @ 798 hrs
* exhaust leak on port main getting slowly worse, it is a warranty job and we have 2 x new turbos coming soon
* The spare Shorepower lead stowed at CP3 pontoon has no current test and tag label, APLNG staff will be coming to do it sometime soon
* emergency exit lights in saloon show the port fwd exit light battery is dead, they are close to 2 years, I have put an ESR 22/1/22 for 4 x new batteries to be supplied to vessel
* toilet lights have been replaced 23/1/22 and working good now
* stores order submitted 24/1/22
* Both main engines have had no oil added to them for the whole swing, they are at their happy level on the dipsticks at about halfway, 25/1/22 Only topped up to full marks to handover to incoming crew , degreased engine rooms
* last used logbooks stowed in roof in box for reference if required
* 25/1/22 MRF # 7280 for ladies toilet continually flushing , have shut off valve that supplies water to toilet and labelled out of order, all other toilets still in use
* sanitary bin changed out 25/1/22
