<p>Hi all...welcome back,</p> <p>A few things to note.</p> <p>We are now using channel 13 for all radio calls and calling "ALL Ships" not VTS. See email flagged in in box Monday 13th Sept.</p> <p><br /> * Fire extinguisher & fixed system Serviced on 03/04/21 next due 3/10/22. Please make sure short fire hose is replaced due to pitting near hydrant end.</p> <p>* test and tag due at end of October </p> <p> </p> <p>Please see email sent to Willie & Gene on Monday 13th Sept as below,</p> <p>Just an update on the condition of the air conditioner mounts. As you can see they are in poor condition & I’m wondering if you can inspect them for safety? There is an MRF 5671 in place.</p> <p>Also wondering if Maintenence could inspect the top 20 person Carley float as it is very sun damaged. The hydrostatic releases on the Carley floats are due to be replaced on the <a dir="ltr" href="x-apple-data-detectors://1">21/10/21</a>.</p> <p>Our fire fighting equipment is due for inspection on the <a dir="ltr" href="x-apple-data-detectors://2">03/10/21</a> & I would just like to make sure that the 5 meter fire hose is replaced MRF 6251 as I won’t be on shift.</p> <p> </p> <p>Please see requested changes to SMS through MOC as below, If you have anything to add please call Willie.</p> <p>Just wondering if you might have time to update a couple of sections of Parangool SMS that haven’t been updated since we got our new engines that are raw water cooled. <br /> I can see that <br /> *section 6, 2.12 (a) Main engine pre- start checks ...need a check added to ensure sea cocks are open and not leaking.<br /> * section 6, 2.12 ( d) start up auxiliary Genset ...need check raw water discharge at tell tail or under hull.<br /> * section 6, 2,12 (e) start up main engine... need check raw water discharge at discharge points on both mains.<br /> * section 6, 2.12 (o) end of shift shut down...?? Shut sea cocks if vessel is not required for operational needs.</p> <p>* there is no longer an aluminium expansion tank for the coolant </p> <p>Our emergency contacts list was updated on 14/9/21, standard for commercial activities Gladstone & Port procedures were updated. Our compass was swung with a new deviation card issued on 15th Sept.</p> <p>There is now a pre completed JSA to review & add to your confined space permit labeled "Parangool void 1" in the drop down window. Please use this when cleaning Genset strainer.</p> <p>Please check flagged emails</p> <p>Vessel was truck washed on Monday the 20th,</p> <p> </p> <p>sullage emptied, freshwater pressed</p> <p> </p>
