Engines now running 10W30 multi purpose oil only
If an oil leak develops from the intermediate sump, mrf it immediately and include hours on engine which will be required for warranty claim. All other installs have had leaks from this area so we should expect to also. Vibration in port motor, been bumping up rpm at idle to smooth it out.
STB main is taking at times 5-7 seconds of cranking before firing ( after extended period of being shut down ) could be fuel pressure issue but Gene is aware and MRF has been lodged
Fire pumps leaking at threaded elbow joints, need a day to pull them apart and apply some thread tape, till then we have placed blue tube beneath and empty every few days.
First roof hatch has life jackets stored on the hatch itself so do not open it, jackets have been restacked to allow more storage room. Both midship and aft hatches can be opened and accessed, midship area is being used crew belongings and aft hatch for stores/engineering items.
Bedding items have been accumulating up in the roof, so not sure if they are yours or other people's who have been onboard over the time, but these items have been taken up to the crib room and put onto the lockers.
There was also a garbage bag of white shirts that has been taken up to the locker room. These shirts may have fiberglass shavings through them due to the cutting of access points in the roof.
Tv has been installed in the wheelhouse as the new cctv system was unable to produce a good enough picture through the simrad screen. Also they were unable to feed the reverse camera back into the tv behind the helm, so it is currently inoperable. Both the FLIR and DVD feeds are awaiting adapters to hook into the system.
Maintenance are fabricating a step for the engine room (port side) to replace the first step that was removed.
All the small windows in the main cabin that were causing the leaks have been sealed up with silicon on the outside so don't open them (not like we did anyways)- still leaking, will need to seal the draining ports next
On start up you will expect to get a number of alarms, either starting port first or stb you will most times have a low voltage alarm on the EMS panel, this alarm will stop if you increase throttle slightly. You may also recieve a steady diagnosis light on the starboard due to the multiple alarms the present on the digital display. Clearing these alarms will not do anything as they will return immediately once cleared. All we can do is silence the buzzer on the EMS panel and continue to operate with them active.
The alarms we have been getting are -unimplemented -throttle sensor -Internal ECU
Paralleling the house/engine batteries will stop the panels going into alarm each time you start..
Genset serviced @ 6267hrs Has cracked oil cooler, parts on order. Oil leak still present under filter.

Most of the technical manuals (except Hamilton blue arrow) are available on the ipads "ibook" as well as the updated standards and port procedures books. We have not been supplied the DI13 hard copy yet but I’ve downloaded it to iBooks also
