Handover notes Capricornian Sunrise 25/3/21
Bureau Veritas auditor attended vessel with Jake Spooner for runs on 17/3/21 , feedback was all good and we achieved the best desired outcome with Jake thanking all crew for their input for doing well.
Main engines operated at around 1970 revs all temps and leaks remain manageable,
Stbd genset is u/s keeps shutting down after startup, have had moist wet conditions, will persevere to start multiple times when weather dries out a bit and hopefully keeps running like it used to do . I have only managed to have Stbd genset running for 30 mins at best before it shuts itself down. The only way to get it online on PLC is to run for 10 mins on manual local start, then shut it down and start on PLC, as stated the longest it has run is 30 mins with no alarm apparent on the genset control panel ,sometimes auxillary fault is illuminated? There is an MRF in previous, have spoken with maintenance several times , they are very busy
When I joined vessel on 17/3/21 humphree ride control panel was dead in wheelhouse, circuit breakers inside of port battery control box in engine room where all switched on... After flicking all 4 circuit breakers off then on , ride control is alive again and operating with no issues since
During anchor drill the clutch handle on anchor winch snapped off at the base from corrosion, maintenance promptly attended vessel and reinstated with slightly shorter handle, all ok. The plan was to source a stainless steel handle and install, this is in maintenance hands
Fwd flood lights trip out circuit breaker #10 in AC panel above naughty corner room when operated
Stbd outer jet hydraulic low oil pressure sometimes comes on after startup, you only need to move the bucket very minimal with the emergency control or the main control and it comes good
Usual oil and coolant leaks through both engine rooms
New wet and dry vacuum onboard has been test and tagged and is operational with 3 pin plug
Have ordered another vacuum for dry purposes such as cabin and wheelhouse cleaning
Have ordered an assortment of out of service tags which will be left in the chart draw
Port genset is running coolant at 95 degrees when fully loaded such as starting all a/c units in hot cabins when amps are really high, this is the best time to get genset readings for logbook as reflects the state of the coolers. After vessel cools down and amps/load come down genset runs at 80 -90 degrees depending on load. Have requested the Genset coolers be barnacle busted as this will keep our 1 genset that is operational, going....
Many items onboard to be returned to Parangool once back in service, there is a post it note on the stbd dash with items to be returned, Jodie English is aware of all and will look after if she is on duty
Jodie English has ordered an assortment of stickers from Cindy for spray bottles and void space entries
First aid kit serviced and next due 16/6/21
Berthing stbd side to at QC4, can go in port side to if required, just need to move ramps over, all lines in situ fwd spring is 32mm and much shorter than stbd side to berth
Removed do not sit here labels from upper deck seats ready for filling in for runs for Cap Spirit while at slipway
