Stbd main raw water pipe on flange was heavily corroded and got replaced (see photo library), keep an eye on all raw water pipes to the engine port and stbd for corrosion (it was really bad!)
O ring got replaced on the oil cooler on the Genset, it failed and dropped about 4 litres of oil into the bundled catchment, keep an eye for any oil leaks in the Genset. 99% sure problem has been fixed.
Curlew and tug ‘shine’ have been working at cp3, no wash at cp3, EWP and crane operations so I have been slowing down at the first yellow mark when coming from CP1 as I turn and doing 6 knots from there, some times the no wash has been critical.
Engine room soaker pads were all changed out on Sunday 8/11.. should get to mid swing before changing them again. Leaks still bad, stbd much worse than port..
Port engine still overheating over 2000rpm. When on 1900-2000 it seems to get to about 84-85 and stays there, after 2000 rpm she keeps going.
Caniapa stays on site now until 1900 so if any runs come up for between 1830-1900 we can get Caniapa to do them. Confirmed by Willie and if he directs Caniapa to come back to the marina early he will let us know (see email.)
Remember to check the red recording light is on when doing pre-starts. We had an instance recently where management wanted to check cctv and it hadn’t been recording.
Watch out for the swing moorings in the marina!! They’re back!,
We are out of rags, more coming with stores on Friday.
If using the wire brush to clean the sea strainers, best to do it on the pontoon as the metal bristles fall off the brush and rust on the back deck !
Have a good swing 😎
