Hi Paul,
Welcome back fellas!
Same story with the main engines with the1750 rpm restrictions on the old engine in starboard side. I've been operating the port engine as normal and all is working fiine. Genset has also been trouble free! Today on shutting down the vessel at its berth Donna noticed a puddle of coolant in the bilge so I had a look myself and can see where the coolant has drained from the header tank over flow hose. She said when she checked the coolant at lunch time it was 2" over full so I think the skipper on Monday has over filled the coolant and it's blown out the top and is now in the bilge! I had no empty drum to suck this tonight on the last night of all nights! I'm sorry I had to hand over a boat with coolant in the bilge! Also today the Maintenence boys fixed a small leak on top of the fresh water pump while I was on break. When I returned I noticed the sullage gauge was up a couple bars so this was from the boys test flushing and turning on the tap! ALSO VERY SORRY that I'm handing over a sullage tank half full of water!!!
This all seemed to happen on the last day so not much has gone right except that AMSA cancelled the inspection today last minute so I'm also sorry to say that it has been rescheduled for the 6/10 at 9am. Bob from amsa is a nice guy so everything should go well mate.
I gave Whetu a call tonight and had a chat about things gone on so he will fill you in more detail in the morning.
Other than that everything else is business as usual.
Enjoy the swing,
Will
