Hi Dan and Matt,
The anchor has a new procedure which is currently being written into the SMS but until then, Graeme has asked me to pass on the follow and ensure that all deckhand are aware of the danger of kicking off the anchor between the gypsy and the new bracket.
To deploy the anchor - 1. Let out a handful of chain onto deck using the dash switch. 2. Ensure that the brake on the gypsy is tightly secured. 3. Remove safety line and guillotine guard 4. Kick the anchor shank at the fluke end until it passes tipping point. 5. Utilize the dash switch for a controlled drop or deploy the anchor in an emergency by releasing the gypsy brake.
Both main engines are loosing alot of coolant. Stbd engine approx 4 litre every 3 days and Port approx 2 litres every 3 days. I have ordered more coolant and there is an empty drum onboard for collecting the coolant which ends up in the bilge.
Both mains are loosing oil. They both seem to be happiest when sitting at three quaters full on dip stick.
I have rmoved the 20litre drum of hydraulic oil and the 20litre drum of gear box oil from the vessel as a 5 litre container of each is sufficient. I ordered a black plastic tub for the back deck to store the 20 litre drum of coolant and any bilge waste drums in so that these drums are not stored on deck near open scuppers.
You will see that the seats have been signed for covid 19 restrictions. Some of the signs are starting to get damaged due to people moving past them. There are few spares pre made under the dash and there is double sided tape in the pencil case should you need to replace any. These spare signs may be needed also if our numbers are greater than 37 inside and then the outside seats will need to be signed. The seating plan from management is locate behind the helm door.
The fire fighting equipment was inspected in March( paperwork dated 23/3/2020) but has been stamped in February. I have let Willie know.
We have the spare fuel card onboard as our fell in the water. I have ordered a new card. When it arrives pls take spare card back to office.
I have request that our MOB ladder is extended by two runs. I placed this request through a management of change form as per Willie.
Please see NTM and email from Willie flagged today. There is a tracing available for a chart correction. Apologies, I was on MOB standby today and didn't get a chance to make the chart correction.
Self Audit check complete if you would like quick reference to expire dates. Vessel compliant.
We made some repairs to Stbd yellow stickering and removed scuff marks.
All maintenance checks up to date. General cleaning done including truck wash, interior decks scrubbed, creme cleaned around engine hatches, vuplex clears, vaccumed luggage rack & cleaned kitchen items.
Have a great swing. Cheers Jodie
