Hi gents,
There is a small shut down going on at the moment so the schedule has changed slightly, there is a current schedule in the wheelhouse.
Main engines and Genset recently serviced and operational.
We requested new labelling for the bilge manifold system so Willie has done up a diagram that is to be added to the sms and also attached to the inside of the engine door on port side. Also Willie will supply new directional arrow stickers to relabel the pipes on the manifold. This is to make it simpler for the new starters when training on the vessel.
The head unit for the DVD player has been discussed with maintenance, have had a lot of interference coming through the speakers however we discovered that if you leave the volume up high on the head unit and low on the amplifier it sound clear throughout the vessel with no interference from the engines.
There has been a few passengers winging about sitting outside in the mornings with this cold weather about so they have been sneakily trying to sit inside on seats with ‘Do not sit here’ signs so keep an eye out and make sure they only sit on seats allocated to comply with social distancing.
Weekly, 2 weekly and monthly checks are done and up to date.
The NTM are up to date on dataweb however the latest NTM 106T was to delete the green lateral and west cardinal from Clinton channel but the nav aids are still in the water so I haven’t removed them from the charts as yet.
Stores have been ordered to restock products so should be ready to pick up on Thursday.
Cindy has asked for the fuel receipts to be handed in weekly as she needs them for her reporting requirements.
Vessel has been scrubbed inside and out and also hosed out, seats cleaned, windows cleaned, wheelhouse cleaned and engine rooms cleaned including pads changed.
Genset still using a bit of coolant (topped up header twice in 3 weeks)
mains still dropping oil and coolant, they arnt any better but don’t seem any worse.
Be aware of the barge that’s moored half way between CP1 and Cp3 at night, it’s poorley lit and does swing out a fair way if there is west in the wind, the yellow track on the plotter has been adjusted to a safe distance from it, but just remember that the barge is there 90% of the time.
Think I’ve covered everything so enjoy your swing 😊
Regards
Will
