Can we try to avoid using Lanox or Inox on the door hinges and locking pins when completing weekly checks. Silicon spray can used in place of other lubricants as it doesn’t leave the oil residue behind.
Lanox/inbox the cam lock fitting on fire hose connections, both fittings were stiff and wouldn’t move. Make it part of fire drill perhaps.
Had audio issues when playing safety DVD, audio dropped out and had to max out volumes on either pa or head unit to only just hear through speakers. Only to arrive on other side and have audio comeo back on at FULL volume. Checked all wiring, but as per usual has not failed us again. (May be related to the below issue)
3/4 night shift encountered voltage drop on the house bank, 24v systems lost power. The new charger installed failed just before surveyor run. Initiated emergency battery bank to reinstate essentials and carry out run then returned to flne to meet maintenance. If requiring maintenance outside of security hours (2100-0430) master to liaise with aplng security and obtain the code for emergency access side gate at the top of the ramp. Shore guys don't need to access the main car park, all gates to be closed after opening.
Have removed the UPS from drawing off the battery through the inverter under the dash. This means that the UPS will now beep until power is reinstated. It holds around 15mins of back up power which will keep the DVR powered up. After that the unit will shut down, this may cause the hard drive in the DVR to corrupt. If required to go dead ship then the DVR will need to be shut down via the DVR settings option on the Stb simrad video screen and then turned off at the UPS. If shut down then you will need to change the videos time after it's next powered up, admin password is 0000 then unit will alarm with time error. Change time also through DVR settings options to actual time.
Still have not received gas sniffer or aware of how long till it’s return
Coolant leaks present on both mains as is oil leaks, stb coolant leak appears to be much worse. I have a 5lt container that I've been using in lower storage box in stb cupboard and if requiring topping up then there is a siphon hose in the port cupboard.
