Shore power lead at cp3 (outside berth, channel side) not screwing in, if we park port side to the pontoon, we have been using the other lead. MRF submitted and have spoken with Willie and Jack Buckthorpe, there will be an electrician coming down to look at it either Wednesday or Thursday (4th or 5th).. I’ve got a can of electrical lube spray coming to try, maybe that will work! .. see emails
We have ordered another drum of 15w/40 engine oil to get dropped in the trolley at the top of the gangway in the marina, the electrical lube spray will be with it so keep an eye out for it and put our empty one in when it arrives!
Vacuum cleaner smoked up and had a strong electrical smell on the 3/3/20 so have ordered a new one.
Rate reduction is on so Caniapa is up helping out with runs, more pax on the big up lift runs.
New sensor on stbd fire alarm, seems to be all good since that went in. Waiting on a new sensor for the stbd main oil alarm. We have done tests with maintenance crew, oil pressures are good, seems to be a faulty sensor.
There are updated policies on the wall port side fwd cabin.
If ordering new earplugs in the future order the green ones, the new red ones we got just blocked the dispenser.
Updated chart corrections.
Check flagged emails.
genset strainer cleaned and checked 2/3/20
MRF in for the clip on the MOB ladder.
The blue rubber boot that goes from exhaust to the pong box stbd main had been leaking for some time (big salt build up around it) the hose clamps were loose. We cleaned it up and re tightened the clamps but if your getting water in the stbd main engine room, check this because it might need removing completely and cleaning and possibly super clamps instead of hose clamps.
MRF’s for PORT and STBD mains around the cylinders. Little oil and coolant leaks visible from above cylinder 6 where cylinder meets the block on stbd, and also large amounts of oil and coolant dried to the block/sump when you climb down the side of the engines. maintenance came and had a look, it’s not good, but nothing we can do, only thing we can do to prolong the life of the engine is to be nice to it! Lower revs the better but obviously we need the power at times so we can only do what we can.
Last swing for the hand overs there were some important things that should have been left for us that weren’t passed on, maybe make a note of important things to put in here if possible, not having a dig, just a reminder! A couple of things for example that would have been handy to know was the fire sensor playing up and oil alarm going off, apparently this had been occurring previously, also removed markers in the Clinton Chanel, a water leak port main that had been fixed but needed monitoring etc. I’m sure I’ve forgot to put stuff in here too, just saying!!
Have a good swing guys, mozzies galour up at CP3 on dark, ordered more aerogard and morteen in stores!
