There is a hydraulic leak port jet unit inboard side, maintenance are aware and it is a major job so not expecting it to get fixed any time soon, just be mindful to monitor it, it doesn’t seem to leak enough to notice it on the little dipstick but makes a bit of a mess on the soaker pads we have placed there.
Ordered a new mat for the outside stbd door, it was supposed to get dropped off at the top of the ramp Tuesday night but was not there when we came in, maybe it’s in the stores or still at the yard? It’s somewhere though ha, Rosco is the man to talk to about that.
Please let Shaun know when we need to order 20 litres of main engine oil. A full 20 litres on board and both engines are full of oil on Sunday the 17th.

In regards to the stores i,e gloves, soaker pads etc last swing, we did do an order but over the Xmas break the office staff etc took time off and we didn’t receive the stores. We normally keep on top of what we need so not having what the vessel needs wasn’t intentional, I think leaving us with no gloves or soaker pads was a bit rough when you guys have just left a handover note obviously not happy about having none?!
Neither one of us on this swing have ever taken anything out of the spill kit bag so that is a complete mystery to us, but yes we agree anything taken from that bag should be replaced asap!
As you are probably aware the ramps are now a two person lift and the master must wear a life jacket, even though the master doesn’t have to step overboard...🤷♂️ Anyway it is what it is I guess.
There is a new stern cleat in the pontoon for when we do sullage (behind torrisian) so hopefully that stops any excuses for leaving the opposite crew a full sullage tank for handover, bit annoying swinging on and having to do sullage and water on the first night back.
We have new clears! I’m pretty sure the oversized screws that some idiot has put in that hold the track on that pertrude through the roof we’re already like that (I don’t think the guys that just did the clears removed the track) but just clarifying with you guys!
Have a good swing guys and gals!
