Hi Ross and Tara,
We've had a good swing - has gone past pretty quickly!
A few things to note:
1. All the usual stuff has been done over the weekend for handover - let me know of any issues or concerns please and we can address next swing.
2. Ryan has a new toy that Tara might like to help keep the seats clean. We ordered and have onboard a little red Dirt Devil as we found it difficult to get a hold of Spirit's vacuum with their new schedule having them out of the Marina most days. A weekly vacuum of the seats with it has kept them looking great.
3. New light on dash is hooked up to shore power lead switch on outside of hull where shore power lead connects. Sparkies onboard today to fit (Tuesday). If you turn the ignition on the port side and the shore power is connected it flashes to tell you the shore power is still connected. We will have to be careful not to break the switch. See how the galvanised unit holds up... I think it could use some regular spraying with lanolin. No doubt there will be an email out about it at some stage in the near future.
4. See flagged emails.
5. All machinery is running fine. Leak still evident in port jet bearing, hasn't worsened. Also placed in MRFs #4268 and #4269 for leaks on other parts of the jet units. The whole units are due for rebuild and maintenance is aware of this.
6. No strange no washes or NTM to effect. Independence and Sentinel have been in and out of the Tug Base a bit but don't call in or out so keep an eye on them.
7. Our Audit with Graeme went well as far as I can tell (I hope!?). I'm sure you will have no issues either.
8. Have put stores order in for items and more earplugs. New toilet gel is a winner for getting rid of the odours. Got some new flash toilet brushes too!
9. Test and tag renewed.
10. New hose and drum unit for dock on way.
11. Completed painting of various parts of the roof where gelcoat or paint had worn away revealing bare glass. Ryan got excited and decided to paint a few other spots with varying success...
That's all that comes to mind so far guys. We topped up fresh and fuel and pumped sullage even though they were high and low respectively to help you ease into swing so hopefully you have a cruisy time till Sunday / Monday.
I hope you have a safe and happy swing.
Kind regards,
Tony and Ryan.
