Check email regarding berthing at CP 3. BK has to go stbd side too from now on. Night shift was going STB side to only when Caniapa was there OR we were going onto shore power, the rest of the time we used port side for quick turnarounds with the fenders. Change it around to whatever you desire. Port side too is fine at CP1.
charts updated to edition 14
Cindy needs email of the ships log if you go into 2 pages because DataWeb web can only hold 1 page at this stage.
mains serviced 8/7. Gear oil and genset serviced 22/7
flushed STB fuel tanks to try get rid of Black Death, tanks were squeaky clean ?
We have been told by Sean NOT to top up the oil in the mains until the port side gets down to about 1/4.. We haven't put oil in the mains for 2 weeks and the std side is sitting happily on 3/4 and port side on 1/2 so we want to see if the port side will sit there and not burn oil otherwise we keep topping it up for no other reason other than for it to just burn off to the point it wants to sit at. Please call Sean to confirm this.
Both audits were done this swing (Ovid and conico) we need international signage (stickers) for life rings, muster station, life jackets, fire extinguishers etc to be placed around the vessel in the event we have foreigners onboard.
We have also been told by shore based personnel NOT to put the fuel biocides fuel additive in with the fuel, they are sourcing some new stuff called 'worth' so in the mean time just don't add anything in the fuel when bunkering.
we are getting all new electronics 😀... Even a new radar 😃👍👍👍... 13 grands worth apparently so hopefully that's all in for when I swing back on!!!!
There is some stores in a cardboard box in the roof, we had too much of the same thing so be careful not to over order.
when vessel was on shore power it kept making the clunking noise like when you change the polarity over, aces came and changed out the phase rotation relay which was fried, so if it makes that noise again when on shore power report it immediately.
We removed the yellow chain that had been put on the gangway over at CP3 as a passenger got caught up in it because it hung down in a loop. We didn't really see the point in it anyway as there is a chain already on the walkway.
We also moved the aircon remote off the glass wall because we got sick of cleaning the finger marks off the glass from grabbing it! We just put it in the remote holders that are already screwed to the wall.
Have a fantastic swing you lot! The weather has been mint 👌 So hopefully it stays like this for you guys ✌️
