Hi Malcolm / Ross / Oncoming Crew,
Trust you're well.
We have had a busy swing but the boat is running fantastic.
A few things to note:
1. Malcolm - Sea Cocks are closed and batteries are off 20/5/18.
2. Still no shore power. Ensure that UPS is activated when generator is switched on and selected and deactivated once the generator is shut down. This will keep the battery from pancaking and ensure CCTV is running as per Client requirements.
3. Vessel was slipped 12/5/18. Works completed included hull and jet unit clean and reantifoul, replaced anodes where required, removed stbd main engine and replaced sump, scraped out and cleaned all intakes and sea chests. Boat is very slippery so watch your approach speeds as it doesn't slow like it used to when coming alongside (was pretty bad growth when slipped). Watch the speed too, creeps up to 25kts very quickly especially with a bit of tidal assistance!
4. Vessel has been scrubbed down, floors scrubbed and toilets and wheelhouse detailed. Ryan knows his job for the next few days with sullage, fesh water, seats, and a touch up detail in machinery spaces to go. I have briefed him on the jobs required and he is all good to go so any help you may offer would be appreciated.
5. Charts were Audited and updated as per Willie's email. They are 100% up to date and have been cross checked.
6. See flagged emails - quite a few to note especially regarding pre arrival briefings, drifter and others.
7. May want to book fuel Tuesday morning for swing change(?).
8. All machinery running no problems. Have added 200mL of coolant to genset header tank this swing, may be a tiny, tiny leak? Haven't been able to spot it.
9. Air Conditioner remote for wheelhouse stopped working first day back. Upon contractors visit onboard there was evidence that a tea or coffee was spilt on the remote upon dissassembly for repair. A replacement generic remote was sourced. Note that 24oC on the generic remote is COLD. You'll work it out to your own climatisation. If you want heaters in the morning in the cabin be sure to turn them on early as they take a long time to reverse cycle and begin to warm up the cabin.
10. No strange NTM or no washes to be aware of. Sentinel has been doing some works at RG Tanna in the afternoons. Sometimes calls a no wash.
11. Frozen blocks in freezer keep the fridge cold when no on, keeps milk and other foods fresh all day with no power.
That's all that comes to mind at this stage. Please give me a call with any questions or concerns.
Regards,
Tony.
