Maintenance day after morning run 15/11/17
-Sullage gauge repaired reads correct.
-Charts up to date up to editions 22. Updated local NTM in iPad folder
-Genset kept shutting down (4 times in one morning) with the same problem we have had for months (low oil pressure) this has been proven to not be low oil pressure, but an electrical issue, there is NO AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN!!!! Sean installed a diode which will stop the Genset from automatically shutting down which is good, but also bad because if the Genset actually has low oil or an oil pressure problem it won't shut down and will cause major damage to the Genset.. Be very sure to consistently check the oil level and visually check the Genset for oil leaks until Maintainence gets a chance to fix it properly.
-Vessel Antifouled.
-Gas detector back on board.
-Flares updated
-Can depart on demand from CP 1 with supervisor name and security go clearence.
-3 monthly due 30/11/17
-oil leak port main behind turbo, MRF submitted, Maintainence have acknowledged it but continue to monitor.
-Genset serviced 28/10/17, Genset strainer cleaned.
-Conico have had a report of the ramp at CP3 sliding and therefore unsafe...!! A million people loaded and now it's an issue?! Anyway they wanted to weld a piece of 25x25mm angle to the pontoon going from the edge at 90 degrees back 750mm to stop the ramp sliding. I had concerns that this could possibly be a trip hazard for the decky stepping across as its directly where your first step across from vessel to pontoon would be. Because we don't always have the ramp across and we can step across with PFD'S then it does present as some kind of hazard, night or rain etc.. Also to grab the ramp the angle would be exposed for the first step over, once the ramp is across and pressed up to it, it would be fine. We found tieing a line from the fwd Spring bollard to the ramp did the trick... And no welding,, anyway, they also want to re paint the landing pads where the ramp goes and will do something about the sliding of the ramp!!! See email trail 9/11/17
-Search light not swiveling or working, MRF submitted.
-Shore power not working at CP3, tagged out waiting for Conico to repair it. Earth leakage and burnt out breaker switch panel on pontoon side, don't touch!
