Hi James and Dan. Hope you had a grt swing off.
We now have been given 25mins to complete run between GL3 and QC4. Refer to email 26/0717 from Willie Daft letter.
There is a Dolphin Fender at GL3 which has the outer layer lifting at the base. We had our fwd spring line get caught up in it. Be aware that this is a possibility when coming into GL3.
Maintenance is scheduled for today 2/8/17 @ marina between 12.00-14.30. Spirit to do 13.50 run.
Fire Extinguisher are due for inspection in August. Last inpection date was 03/02/17. Have let Annie know that the extinguishers are due via email.
First Aid kit next check date 16/08/17
We are still chasing a copy of the survey certificate refer to email 17/7/17.
There is a map of the MOT GL3 FACILITY ON EMAIL 13/07/17 and I have ordered a laminated copy for vessel incase we need to direct ambulance to this site.
Potable water now has its own hose as per email 14/07/17.
Genset has a gremlin ( electrical) that maintenance have been chasing all swing. It has been shutting down due to low oil pressure approx 2-5 times a shift. It has had the head gasket replaced, water pump replaced and loads of hrs chasing electrical fault.
Monthly checks are due today. I have started this with only a couple of items left to check. It is on the register number 454. Please change date and complete.
You might have noticed the cleaning products have been moved off the midship rack as per email dated 26/07/17 and 19/07/17 requarding SDS folder and chemical storage.
You will find
*the non hazardous and not dangerous goods (every day cleaning products) in a container between the aft seats. Although the INOX is in this container because it can not be stored near flammable liquids.
* the hazardous chemicals, that are not Dangerous goods are on Stdb side of forward chemical locker. Out of direct sunlight, cool, dry and away from food stuff as per SDS.
* the hazardous chemicals, that are dangerous good ( most of the aerosols.....apart from the INOX, which can not be stored near flamable liquids) are in forward locker on the Port side. Away from heat, sparks, sorce of ignition, direct sunlight and some need to be in a flame proof area eg. SANI- SAFE and Rain -X. Please be aware that all of these chemicals are incompatible with Oxidizing agents.
* The DRIFTER has me a bit stumped. It needs to be bunded separately not near flamable goods, so it is in a bucket between aft seats. Open to suggestions on storage of the drifter.
There are a couple of SDS still on order that are out of date or missing. Check email 29/07/17. * FM 200 * Foam Extinguisher *Scania Coolant ready mix *Meth. Please add to folder when they arrive and remove the old ones that are in the front cover of SDS folder. Thanks.
