Hi Shane (and Will),
Welcome back to the mighty Torresian! Trust you had a good offswing.
We have been kept busy over the last few weeks whether we liked it or not - a few 'highlights' below:
1. All 'the usuals' have been taken care of the from Sunday through to Tuesday. Call me if any issues.
2. See flagged emails especially ones about:
a. RG Tanna access - 30/5/17
b. Weekend standby times (Torresian is on Standby CP1 1600-1700hrs on Sat and Sun whilst BK crew change occurs) from Krystle 1/6/17
c. Early boarding of passengers - 5/6/17
d. Vessel drill scenarios and debrief - 6/6/17
e. SMS update - 12/6/17 (Only change was names etc. on organisational chart Section 4)
f. BK Maitenance Day (as forwarded to your personal email) - 14/6/17
g. Fauna reports email - 15/6/17
h. EBA Negotiation Meeting - 16/6/17
i. Berthing arrangements - 17/6/17
j. Email from Krystle yesterday regarding weekend run for BK.
3. New registration stickers fitted to port and stbd sides of vessel as per surveyor's report requirements.
4. All voids have been truckwashed and vacuumed out etc. as per surveyor's report requirements.
5. The "overhearing debacle" as discussed on the phone - leaks seem to be sealed okay. I would advise checking the blue rubberised exhaust joiners regularly for minor leaks just in case. The bilges in the engine rooms may look 'moist'. This is from the lanolin we wiped in them after washing them with fresh water and truck wash after sucking 240L of salt water from the bilges. Hopefully this inhibits any corrosion.
6. No changes to APLNG schedule despite my best efforts to make sense of the situation.
7. All machinery running fine - all fluids and lubricants at acceptable levels.
8. All wheelhouse instruments and controls fully functional and nil issues. New SIMRAD unit pretty fancy.
9. No pressing MRFS. All MPM up to date.
10. No urgent stores requirements.
11. New masthead white light fitted - old one started to loose a few rows of LEDs and showed signs of water ingress and corrosion.
That's all that comes to mind at this stage mate. If you have any questions please get in touch.
Wishing you a relaxing, issue free swing gents.
Tony & Ryan.
