Vessel was slipped 24/4/17 - 29/4/17. Notes on back page of engineers log for the 28/4/17.
New main batteries are on order. They were load tested on 02/05/17 and they load tested O.K. But sight window indicates they need replacing and they are old 2014.
I have ordered a boot for the turbo snail on Stbd main and repairs to the exhaust sock as the inner insulation is escaping and we needed to get a new air cleaner. Please keep on eye on this as top of sock is currently open slightly for testing. Air cleaner may need to be vaccumed cleaned. Also the fire tape just aft of the exhaust sock is starting to unravel. Brody inspected on 2/5/17 & asked us to monitor.
Emptied 30 ltr of coolant and oily water into drum from Stbd engine room after slipping. And 20 litres from Port engine room. Degreased fwd ( under floor plate of both Port& Stdb engine room bilge. Degreased under sump with claw and degreaser of both Port & Stbd engine room bilges.
Tag and testing performed when on slip. A couple missing charging adapter wheelhouse (wasn't onboard at slip) toasted sandwich maker and charger for the gas sniffer. Willie has advised me that Brody is aware and its on his" to do list"
Documentation updated and added to SMS. Gas detection certificate. Fire equipment inspection records. Uni rail inspection certificate.
Chart correction completed.
First aid kit due for inspection on 10/5/17. Office has advised that they no longer swap out a spare kit. They now have kits inspected at Sea link pontoons as all vessels are due around the same time. Willie will let us know when we can fit in to get ours checked.
CCTV needed to be reformated on the 9/5/17. Please keep on eye on it and ensure it is recording. It may need a new hard drive. Reformating should have given it a new shot of life and cleared it. It was recording from 10.20 am on 9/5/17
Oil leaks have slowed significantly since slipping.
Sanatary bin changed 9/5/17
Exhaust leaks and the inners from the exhaust boots excaping where open test site is have set off the fire alarm twice in Stbd side. Broodie has asked us to monitor. Also please keep an eye on the air cleaners. They may need to be vaccumed cleaned of film from exhaust boot. Air cleaners were replaced on slip.
