Hand overs 1st November
URGENT! Familiarise with new ConocoPhillips timetable
Wednesday 12-10-16.
On arriving day one of swing, there was no oil in genset, the drain hose valve was on and hanging, dumping all the oil into the bilge. Also the bilge/fire manifold was setup incorrectly. All valves for the fire hydrant were closed and the bilge/ overboard discharge were open. Company policy states overboard discharge is not to occur and the manifold should be setup for fire fighting. The STB fire clutch had been left on. This resulted in a burnt out impeller and inoperable fire pump on STB side.
At 0835 hrs the STB head gasket blew. They repaired but we were asked not to exceed 85% power until Sunday when new main engine will be fitted.
Thursday 13-10-16
Email received reminding crews to sign out/in at all times when arriving/leaving CP1 at crew change over.
Friday 14-10-16
Email received in regards to vessel shut down, make sure seacocks are closed at end of shift and shutting down vessel
Saturday 15-10-16
Genset salt water pump burnt out at CP1 we saw the green light go red so stopped engine and found the problem. Sean was up to replace it before the next run. Genset shut down saying low oil pressure, oil levels were fine. They have been fluctuating a lot and an MRF has been submitted.
Sunday 16-10-16
New engine placed in STB side. The revs are slightly out of sync when using the mouse boat. They ran full diagnostics but nothing showed, Sean will calibrate soon. The genset lost all its oil again. The bung came out from behind Sean repaired
Monday 17-10-16
Runs all ok with the new main engine. Problems with STB fire pump, MRF submitted. Emails have been received for crews to remain diligent in inspecting mooring lines. Many have been showing heavy wear and risk separating.
Tuesday 18-10-16
Shane up to CP1 to fit new STB fire pump impeller, all OK. Replaced line, aft spring at CP1. All other lines are OK.
Wednesday 19-10-16
When cleaning up oil spill in Genset bilge we had it stop. Maintanence found starter cable loose and possible water in switch. Switch was removed and run only from remote switch.
Thursday 20-10-16
Port engine has been running high temps up to 87 degrees. An MRF has been submitted and maintenance are aware. On Sunday morning, when the vessel was moved for the engine swap, the sea cocks were not opened. Genset stalled at 2042hrs, no apparent reason, was restarted and run fine since. Completed cleaning Genset bilge and removed 40L of oily water.
Friday 21-10-16
Submitted MRF for port bilge high water float, it has been continuously getting stuck on when completing tests. Email received for a new berthing plan, however it does not affect BK.
Sunday 23-10-16
DVD player fixed, it was found to be a blown fuse. Possibly cause due to attempt made to hook up TV, maintenance have advised that TV will not work on this vessel. Anchor winch has been put on, however it has not been mounted properly and is still not operational. It will be removed and positioned. We clean STB engine, giving it a full degrease after the engine was installed. There was not enough time to do port side but it stills require it.

Friday 28-10-16
New oil pressure sensor unit fitted to Genset, oil pressure now at 50 psi from start up and 46 psi running.
Saturday 29-10-16
Maintenance crew onboard and did exhaust lagging. Brett noticed oil leak at rear of main engine and advised on going monitoring, no MRF submitted.
Sunday 30-10-16
Port engine room cleaned and degreased.
Tuesday 01-11-16
Genset stalling from over heating, found that main AC circuit breaker was tripping and cutting power to pump (and all 240v). Auto sparky has been onboard and replaced main AC circuit breaker, but needs to be monitored as he was not sure if it will have fixed it.
