* joined vessel on 7/8/15 and nil incidents to report.
* SMS has been updated again at section 2, 6 and 7. There is also a new page at the front " SMS familiarisation ". All crew to sign and acknowledge contents.
* port outer thrust bearing oil when changed last Wednesday showed no visible signs of contamination. Gibbo coming AM 18/8/15 to take sample of oil prior to weekly change.
* port aft main water temp gauge sometimes sticking and tap glass and gauge goes to position, also yellow diagnostic light intermittent and tap seems to illuminate the light.
* the service jetty fuel card machine is not printing receipts for the two times we have refuelled
* port engine room fan has been making bearing noise for a week MRF was raised nobody attended and it finally let go on 16/8/15. Running as normal for short runs cp1 to cp3 and taking it easy for Marina trips to fish landing + using STBD Genset. No noticeable rise in temps of port mains nor loss of boost with e/r fan u/s. Engine room gets very warm hence taking it easy on Marina runs. C/B was tagged out on main board for port E/R fan. Gibbo replaced port fan with ACES 17/8/15 All OK now.
* main circuit breaker board on main deck has port generator heater tagged / locked out by aces electrician on 17/4/15, chased this up and this is because there is no heater wired up and loose wires behind board.
* STBD boarding camera midships has a scratch on the plastic shield dome that is visible on STBD docking screen on TV screen in certain lighting, this may have occurred when luggage is placed hastily onto luggage rack, as I only noticed it on Thursday 13/8/15 PM
* fire extinguishers + system due on 28/8/15. And test and tag electrical appliances due 27/8/15
* have instructed crew to secure midship doors whilst operational/ underway as there was nothing stopping anyone from grabbing the handrail and going straight through. Jeff Davey agreed that this is correct.
* new log books started 11/8/15 old logs still on vessel above wheelhouse cupboard.
* When we were berthed at A finger when coming back from break, power was off on vessel 2 days in a row however no C/B was tripped? CCTV footage showed that 3 year old boy on live aboard catamaran next door was copying the crew and thought he would flick the power switch on and off resulting in PLC dropping off and not coming back on until selected. Also check that power is not live when plugging shore power to vessel as he was turning on when vessel was not there. His parents are aware and are endeavouring for this not to happen.
