Hi Wolffy and Trish,
Hope you both had a good offswing - hopefully I can fill you in on a few things that have been happening.
1. Have made new lines in various places - you'll see them. Get Trish to keep an eye on new stern line at Port Central B Berth, not sure if it is starting to unbind. There are two other lines there you could use for backup.
2. Completed jobs for survey including lifejackets, Karley Floats, fitted Voltmeter to dash. All been certified.
3. Usual jobs hae been done over the last few days. Sullage pumped, fresh filled to half, fuel filled, scrub down, floor scrub, engine rooms cleaned, soaker pads, detailed wheelhouse and cabin... etc. etc. you know the drill. Any issues please let me know.
4. Main engines and genset all happy and fluids all within acceptable ranges. No new leaks or issues. Fitted new hose clamps to intake pipe for genset as they had cracked and fallen off.
5. I would say Shaun will be contacting you to look at cleaning fuel tanks soon. We tried for a number of days to line up the job but other vessel's breakdowns meant we havent got around to it yet. You'll have to liaise with Shaun about it as he needs the tanks run as low as possible for obvious reasons. I suggest you touch base with him soon.
6. New roster seems to be working fine. 0440 run people are let through the gate at GL2 at 0420. I haven't done the new 1740 yet as I've been on mornings. Will have to catch up on your thoughts of how things work soon.
7. Priority MRF about the speakers on rear deck - see flagged email. In some seats you can't hear the safety briefing out on the back deck so this needs attention ASAP. Passengers have commented...
8. Put in an incident report yesterday for the Gladstone Pilot Launch Hawk throwing huge wash into GL4 when we were there. No damage or injury but passengers made comment. Thought it was wise to cover our company incase of any repercussions.
9. Port gearbox gauge still playing up.
As always if you have any questions or issues please get in touch mate. Will give you a call to touch base.
Have a safe swing and I'll be thinking of you both from my beachfront cabin at Beachcomber Island, Fiji Thursday afternoon!
Cheers guys,
Tony (...and Ryan!)
