Hi,
Well, after a proper drenching in salt water over the weekend we spent all day Monday and Tuesday at the service wharf getting the genset fixed. Also having a new and bigger engine room fan fitted on the stb side. Port side to come later.
Sparky will be back today to work on fan and will remove temporary geni.
Best efforts were made to restore the vessel to the state of cleanliness it was before the rain. It was a bit like pulling teeth with the fitters, t/a's, and sparkies crawling all over her. Dirty foot prints on roof from maint. accessing at low tide at service wharf. Unable to scrub down as no time in the last two days has been spent at our sealink berth.
Non slip flooring is lifting in stb entry due to 2 day soaking. Exhaust leak stb main at turbo Brody is aware of and the fwd stb side TV is not working due to getting a soaking on Saturday. All of these have been MRF'ed. Batteries in tv remote died Tuesday arvo so you have to turn them on by hand!
Clears were removed for removal of exhaust tunnel panel to access fan.
Coolant was used by maint to fill genset on Tuesday afternoon will need refill.
Nothing other out of the ordinary to report, all relevant emails are flagged and notations in log books as per usual.
Enjoy your swing hope things stay as is for you guys.
Ps sorry but the Vac is full ran out of drums akso you might like to leave the lid open on the Genset box to let it dry out properly.
