Master Induction (Jack Downie)</p> <p>Tuesday 21/06/2016 - WJK Refrigeration onboard vessel 11.00 Completed air conditioning servicing (Units 10 and 11 upper deck). Fresh water pumps were causing the shore power to trip out on the RCD pontoon pedestal. ( Possible cause moisture from SE Gale force rain). Dried out plug, holding in under load. Master Induction ( Jack Downie)</p> <p>Wednesday 22/06/2016 - Master Induction (Jack Downie). Berthing, Maneuvering and Bridge Administration Training. 10.30 Scania onboard vessel for contractor induction. </p> <p>Thursday 23/06/2016 - Master Induction (Jack Downie). Berthing, Maneuvering and Bridge Management Trianing. 15.00 Gale force warning issued for Port Phillip Bay (Cold Front). Did not effect operation, maximum wind recorded at Breakwater Pier 43 Knots WNW. NOTE - Warning to all crew, be aware of hatch leading to roof top in elevated wind conditions. (Dangerous in wind). </p> <p>Friday 24/06/2016 - Master Induction (Jack Downie). Berthing, Maneuvering and Bridge Management Training. 11.30 Mariner Engineering onboard vessel to carry out jet unit anode replacement. Berthed vessel at "Cow in the Tree" Victoria Harbour (8). Vessel positioned correctly alongside, new ramps arrived and measurements were taken for dock lines.</p> <p>Saturday 25/06/2016 - Master Indiction (Jack Downie) Berthing, Maneuvering and Bridge Management Training. 12.30 Cameron from Multivolt onboard to replace and repair helm gauges. All crew carry out MPM duties and general cleaning.</p> <p>Sunday 26/06/2016 - Master Induction (Jack Downie) Berthing, Maneuvering and Bridge Management Training. All crew carry out weekly maintenance checks and fortnightly maintenance checks. General cleaning duties.</p> <p>Monday 27/06/2016 - Master Induction (Jack Downie) Berthing, Maneuvering and Bridge Management training. All crew carry out weekly maintenance and MPM checks. General cleaning. Mariner Engineering onboard, replace fuel filters on port generator, starboard aft main engine alternator and replace forward port main engine coolant temperature sensor. New induction (Engineer x2 and Deck x2) onboard to start inductions.</p> <p>Tuesday 28/06/2016 - Master Induction (Jack Downie) Berthing, Maneuvering and Bridge Management training. 08.30 Cameron from Multivolt on board to replace and correct fault (DVD and Audio Visual System). Crew general cleaning and maintenance duties. General inductions (1 x Engineer/Mate and 2 x Deckhands).</p> <p>Wednesday 29/06/2016 - (Jack Downie attending local knowledge training for Port Phillip South). Crew removed small luggage rack from starboard forward cabin. Luggage rack being stored at M.A.P. O8.30 Whinfield Electrical on board to check fault on emergency back up lighting circuit and port men's restroom hand dryer fault. Starboard jet bearing oil changed due to contamination. Engineer Induction (Jeff Bancroft).</p> <p>Thursday 30/06/2016 - Master Induction (Jack Downie) Berthing, Maneuvering and Bridge Management training. Mariner Engineering onboard to change coolant pipe on Starboard forward main engine. Raw water cooling exhaust hose changed on Port Generator. Engineer Induction (Jeff Bancroft).</p> <p>Friday 31/06/2016 - Mastet Induction (Jack Downie) Berting, Maneuvering and Bridge Management training. (Emergency control and steering trying) vessel made berth using redundant emergency systems. Engineer Induction (Jeff Bancroft). Signed off.</p> <p>Saturday 01/06/2016 - Master Induction (Jack Downie) Berthing, Maneuvering and Bridge Management training. Today we loaded 154 Passengers onboard for the 10.00 am departure from Wyndham Harbour. We encountered several operation logistical problems trying to process tickets onboard while maintaining the safety observations provided by crew. Emails to support these observations were relayed to management.</p> <p>Sunday 02/06/2016 - Master Induction (Jack Downie) Berthing, Maneuvering and Bridge Management training. General cleaning and vessel maintenance.</p> <p>Monday 03/06/2016 - Master Induction (Jack Downie) Berthing, Maneuvering and Bridge Management training. Engineering Induction (Lawrence Chapman) (Jeremy Munro) Deck Induction (Russel Thorpe) Commence onboard inductions. Mariner Engineering called to advise they have received 4 x 20 ltr drums of engine oil, 2 x 20 ltr drums of coolant.
