Joined vessel for 5/6/26 for 2 days
* 240 volt roving pump located port aft cabin behind seats is there for backup in case the primary bilge/fire system fails due to temporary repair of stbd side primary suction piping , see R Mcmullen handover notes 13/1/26, recommend to use port side pump for drills , stbd ok to use , this pump is a backup only 👍
* port main had charge air alarm on ecu unit panel whilst underway only once, there was nothing out of the ordinary , reset the ecu panel in engine room entrance and never happened again
* haven't picked up stores for the week, have attached vb cord to rubber mat as requested in P Virag handover
* genset strainers cleaned primary and secondary whilst j macfarlane master training, he has 2 more days before sign off and only needs to complete practical drills , please next oncoming master finish of J Macfarlane paperwork 🙏 many thanks , John was competent the first day 👍
* When starting mains it was noted that the lever control had to be adjusted to be in the "ready " position irregularly and found by selecting mouse prior to starting.mains , ensured start first go every time
* sent an email.requsting updated reporting list for delays of departure etc which is displayed in the wheelhouse with laminated copy,, please disregard the laminated copy and see flagged email from j buckthorpe regarding reporting requirements for correct recipients
* there is no hard copy of survey certificate displayed in wheelhouse , there is, however, an updated certificate on sharepoint for 28/1/26 issue , maybe try to request hard copy for vessel , Good luck if it happens ,,,, if I had a printer at home I would print one and put it there,, seems we.only are.powered.by a Volvo with 499kw ? until 2030
