<p>Joined vessel for 3 days 21/12/25 - 23/12/25</p> <p>* 21/12/25 see flagged email in inbox regarding shore power lead at southern berth cp3 , all OK to use </p> <p>* no genset coolant on board, it is different coolant to Volvo mains and sourced some from parangool to top up genset</p> <p>Spoke with Maintenance and they are going to discuss with gene to see if they change coolant in genset over to Volvo coolant ? </p> <p>* verbal handover 20/12/25 with previous master J Shepherd mentioned a couple of times experienced overspeed alarm in Port Volvo panel when manoeuvring at low revs, was advised that everything still operates OK and still able to berth vessel safely, Maintenance have been advised and I haven't had fault become apparent yet.</p> <p>* genset secondary strainer had lots of barnacles, loads more than I usually encounter when inspected and cleaned , </p> <p>* see email inbox 21/12/25 regarding anchor, this is an old email from 2020 that I forwarded to vessel from my personal inbox that may have relevant information that some might find useful </p> <p>* charts corrected for NOTAMS edition 25 of note dredging , bedlevelling and survey operations, dresge Brisbane, pacific titan and Norfolk , navigate with caution </p> <p>* 22/12/25 * If any new crew are coming on to train or sign off , it is a requirement when serving on aping vessels to acknowledge and sign off on aping HSE induction,... formerly each vessel used to do this via hard copy on each vessel, however nowadays this information and sign off is available on sharepoint... all that is required is to use the ipad assigned to each vessel and read and sign off with revision number , which is currently #003 and this keeps us clean when clients conduct vessel audits π</p> <p>* please see flagged email regarding stores </p> <p>* Have had over speed alarm on port panel a couple of times 22/12/25 + 23/12/25 all when at low revs ?</p> <p>* 23/12/25 MRF submitted for Stbd aft deck door doesn't secure at the pin real well , just remind crew to try and locate it with manual operation pulling , wriggling and sliding </p> <p>* The USB stick for safety DVD has been replaced recently and I recommend that you familiarise yourself with operation for intended messages, announcements to remain seated are now required to be made using PA when berthing as we used to be able to do it with the recorded message , but it has been removed? </p> <p>* Displayed Survey certificate on wall in wheelhouse out of date , also the same for certificate in SharePoint system? π©</p> <p>* New lightning charger cable for iPad coming in stores which will be there before Christmas π </p> <p>Wishing All a Merry Christmas ππππand well wishes into the new year πΊ</p> <p>Signed Nathan Raphael 23/12/25</p>
