please check MRFs and if possible close out any outstanding if work has been completed
12/2 - Port Adblue injection to exhaust leaked following new hose fitted. Both port and starboard need to be monitored regularly during Prestarts - stb has build up around it since first dayshift this swing. Paul cleaned stb injector 3/3
17/2 - ENC charts updated to 07/02/25 on 17/02/25
changed Em-track ais unit position source from GS25 antenna to NSS3S 12 igps and this has removed the SOG and COG loss when stationary. (MRF closed)
periodically raymarine pltter is loosing satellites, this unit is using internal gps with no option to change source, satellites eventually are re-acquired though (could be the Chinese)
18/2 - stb hydraulic oil temp sensor continuing to alarm with high temp alert, no signs of temp increase on the system when temp was taken with temp gun, Brodie replaced sensor and all seems normal again. 25/02 - problem still occurring, so today maintenance stood vessel down and done jet service @ 1244hrs removing and replacing jet oils and filters. No alarms since oils replaced.
20/2 - Hamilton AVX display is no longer sounding alarm (beeping) when selecting stations. Be aware that if the jet units throw an alarm it will be visual only. MRF has been submitted. Alarms still sounding in engine room so it seems isolated to panel in dash.
21/2 - charts updated to edition 4 ( no enc charts updated supplied )
22-23/2 vessel in marina for maintenance and window tinting - main cabin tint pre cut wrong dimensions, awaiting new tint to arrive and complete job Friday 28/02
28/2 - instructed by Clint's tint to NOT CLEAN TINTED WINDOWS FOR A WEEK. When cleaning windows do not use metho or cleaning vinegar, or paper towel. Only use microfiber cloth with water and microfiber cloth to dry. Have ordered glitz glass cleaner for this weeks stores, this is ammonia free and should be fine to replace metho/vinegar. Feel free to remove metho from vessel since none of us use metho and we will no longer be cleaning windows with it.
28/2 - engine room fans now wired up to auto start and auto stop. Start delay up to 5 seconds, still have deckhand confirm fans operating. Auto shut off delay of around 15 mins. Fans switch is now redundant in either position Brodie has removed 1 switch today 4/3 and will size up a blank to put in place. Maintenance has load tested the batteries and they will need replacement, we may be looking at getting a permanent charger hooked into starting batteries depending on the type of battery replacement.
28/2 - there has been salt water leaking through engine room deck access latches, signs of salt dripping on top of motor, maintenance needs to disassemble latches to find the leak.
starboard Adblue injector currently still leaking, port has not leaked again since first day of our swing, so continue to monitor these till solution is found. 1/3 - cp1 ramp repainted due to hazard report (slippery surface)
there has been a number of inverter overloads on L1, Brodie has taken a photo of the notification screen to send Rob and ask the question why but in the meantime I have noticed if I reduce the load on L1 in the way of lower fan speeds on port fwd and aft air cons during high demand or even dropping one of those two off I don't seem to get overload as often. Using port aircons on high with low temps and powering kettle and microwave tends to raise amps up on line 1 to where inverter may overload. It is just a pre alarm, system does not go into fault but it is continuous as the loads are not be shared across all lines.
Victron state of charge at times is not reaching 100% when connected to shore or producing solar. It has been an issue all swing and I have emailed Rob about it and also lodged an MRF.
2/3 - found stb aft fire flap was closed during Prestart checks. Appears that the spring the is used to return the securing latch is not strong enough to hold the pressure down and you will need to push the latch down from the top in order for the flap to stay open and not fall when underway. MRF has been lodged
in order to upload photos of ships logs and bunkering receipts, for now you will have to take the photos using iPad camera APP not through chrome, choose to upload the photo from photos library not camera in the drop down option and select photo taken with camera app outside of chrome. We have had issues with this since updating chrome with latest sealink (big brother) chrome update. Hayley is working with IT to find a solution for this.
FLNE pontoon works still underway, possible completion of 2 pile sleeves this coming weekend but not had any official word from anyone apart from email last week stating works halted due to Alfred's blow, and that works shall be pushed back till following weekend.
