Hi Steve 😊
Welcome back.
Vessel has been running well. No problems to report.
Please read all flagged emails.
Tag lines by 2 have been added to all forward Spring Lines at all 3 of Spirits Berths. Normal long tag line for pulling over bollard and smaller one is used to open eye once eye above bollard. This will prevent crew from getting fingers caught in the bite of eye. Crew should never have to touch the eye if tag lines are being used correctly. MOC has been submitted for change and Willy is updating in SMS. See email . 27 and 28/11/24
Test and Tag guys have been onboard to test Unirail, Lugs across Bridge and Tender. They have tagged out the Tender Davit dyneema line as they believe it has a small nick around splice. I have taken photos and sent to Gene as I believe it is ok. For now I have left it tagged out as Gene is away and hasn't got back to me. Please see email I sent to Gene. You will have to chase this up with him as we need an operational tender. Email 29/11/24
Also the same guy when testing lugs across the Bridge has tagged the middle one as ok and forgot the 2 outside lugs as they still have old tags on them. This is also included in above email to Gene.
We have replaced Forward Spring line at QC4, the Aft Spring and Stern Line at GL3 and both Stern lines at the Marina Berth. I have ordered 12 Metre of 40mil line for you guys to replace forward Spring at GL3. It is starting to show signs of chaff. Willy has been sent all the above measurements and what we have done. Please see email.
On swing on this swing when we berthed Port side for scrub down it was noticed that the wrap on stern was all hanging of vessel, full of water and ballooning away from vessel. MRF submitted. I have cut the damaged wrap out to prevent further damage. Patch measurements are 6 metre x 150mm. For maintenance to replace you will need to berth Port side too. Let Engineers know if you are going to berth port side too so they can cut patch out and repair. They have measurements and will do when have time. Hazard report submitted for ramp at GL3. Please read email outlining hazard report 9/12/24. Movement from wash and sea conditions at times cause ramp to move towards midship door causing a pinch point between ramp and doorway. I have also submitted a MOC.
Gas detector is tagged out as it was dropped down the void and the screen broken. Willy is aware and said to keep it onboard till the guys come up from Brisbane for testing. If you need to go down a void borrow a detector from another vessel.
Charts all updated .
No other new.
Have a Great Swing and a Merry Merry Christmas 🎄 🎅 🌟
