FYI, if the lithium bank drops below 10% it shuts down all 240 systems. Once it hits this percentage it throws a whole heap of ecu alarms. The victron inverters except phase 1, shut down and the servo shut down as well. We ran the generator for over an hour (shore power was not operational at the time) and this did not put any charge into the batteries, we ended up leaving the generator on and engaged and went for a 45 minute drive, the alternator got the percentage up to 13% and this was enough to excite the batteries and the generator then kicked in and we got power going again.
I forgot to turn the engine rooms fans off one night. Woke up to every alarm under the sun going off, primary and secondary steering faults, ecu alarms etc etc. The engines still fired up and the only way to get charge back in was to go for a burn around the harbour for 45 mins to get the alternators to charge them back up. (starters only charged by 24volt alternators)
We have had major issues with shore power tripping. It burnt out a lead at CP3 and melted a prong in the plug, it's currently tagged out so use the long lead on the other side for shore power. Seems to be a load issue and the only way I can use shore power without tripping the breaker is to run only the phase 1 air cons (both port air cons) and only on 22 degrees and medium fan, anything lower and auto setting etc trips the breaker.. not straight away, sometimes in 5 minutes sometimes in 2 hours but it will trip. Adding on to this ^ shore power tripped out last night twice with aircons on this setting.. changed them to 23 degrees and med-low and shore power stayed on (only running the two port aircons) Aces came down on the 19th and said it's overloading and the only direction so far is to plug both shore power leads in when we use shore power, we can't do this as ones tagged out at cp3 but maybe when you get that lead back that will work. It never used to trip though, there's definitely something more going on, I've mrf'd it, spoken to maintenance a lot about it... I hope we can sort it out because it's a real pain. A/C breakers don't trip when in normal use, just a shore power issue.
PHASE 1- RUNS BOTH PORT AIR CONS AND ALL GPO's FANS ETC
PHASE 2- RUNS STBD AFT AND WHEELHOUSE AIRCONS
PHASE 3- RUNS STBD FWD AND ATRIUM AIRCONS
Only one alternator working when battery percentage gets low. We really need both alternators to work all the time, not just when the batteries get low. Have spoken to Brody about this but not sure if anything will change. If alternators worked constantly we wouldn't have a low battery issue in the afternoons/handover.
Pax putting boots on seats and not flushing toilets has been an issue, keep on them!!! Bob has been up them!!
Have a good swing. Liam.
