A few things to remember:
engine room fans, remember to turn them off at night and back on in the morning
do coolant checks when engine is cold, on night shift I've been doing the oils on Prestart and doing coolant checks first thing in the morning, the system is pressurised so if you pop the cap when engines hot coolant will go everywhere
on port side when checking main engine oil, be very careful not to put your hand or arm on the turbo cover plate, it gets extremely hot and you have to reach over it to reach the dip stick
we need to put handles on the main doors port and stbd, pinch point trying to open them without a handle
when entering and exiting the crew hatch under the wheelhouse, watch your back on the backside of the handle when getting out
remember to monitor the temp in the aircon void, we need to ideally keep the temp under 50 degrees
montor as blue, notify maintenance when you need to top up
48 volt alternators don't seem to be putting any charge in?
at night we have been only using one shore power lead (primary) to charge and that's ample, charges really quickly. Make sure it's in the right socket, it's not labeled yet.. primary is the first one.. aft socket.
wheelhouse fogs up easily in the morning.. be sure to have aircons going, I find having the atrium going it helps a lot
