Orange diagnostic light and Limp Home Red light coming on intermittently and staying on for about 10 seconds.
No Genset tell-tail water flow but temps are fine.
11/3 Mondays schedule for GLNG changed.
Cleaned GenSet strainers. Tightened manifold bolts and turbo hoses on both main engines.
Unblocked GenSet tell-tail pipe with screw driver and hose while genset running.
Gladstone Harbour Master Approves night time bunkering for SeaLink vessels. Approval displayed in the wheelhouse & valid for one year.

Torresian having trouble staying on schedule for some runs as the hull speed is not fast enough because the boat needs to come out of the water to have the underside cleaned.

17:10 departure from GL4 re-instated for Torresian from Monday to Friday.
Safety Memo from Jeff Davey issued regarding vessels rafting up. Practice of rafting vessels up to each other to immediately cease.

Mick the electrician on board and replaced main board for aft cabin air con. Tested ok.
Main engine temperatures reaching 87C on Port and 86C on Starboard at full RPM.
HSR Safety Committee announced by Rob Mitchell.
Bechtel announce the demobilisation of Cap Spirit (runs) to take into effect before or at the end of the month. Likely that Cap Dancer to be demobilised and Cap Spirit to take over Cap Dancers runs. 3 Master IV masters to be made redundant.

Jeff Davey has issued new AUS 246 charts. Old charts to be destroyed or removed from the vessel.
Drive belt on forward stbd main engine making noise. After further inspection noticed excessive wear on belt. Shaun onboard tpand replaced drive belt for a new one.

Craig Batchelor (Head of Transport GLNG) onboard and made comments about Torresian being late arriving & departing on some runs. Explained to Craig that the hull needs cleaning.
Exhaust leak on stbd main engine getting worse after 5 or 6 weeks.

Cleaned GenSet strainer.
Bhagwan divers down to clean the hull, grid coolers and raw water intakes.
Richard onboard to service genset, fix starboard exhaust leak on main engine and service Port Jet unit.
Exhaust leak mostly finished but waiting on more parts/material.
@20:35 Torresian reaching 22.4 knots (max RPM) from GL2 to GL4 with a clean underside. Also cruising at 1640 RPM REACHING 18.5 knots and temperatures down to 78C.

Memo from Jeff Davey re: Vessel Safety and Compliance Audit Self Assessment. Self Assessment Audit which is located on DataWeb/Vessel Forms are to be completed on a MONTHLY basis. This is a mandatory requirement to be compliant with company policies and regulated standards.
All Drills to be also recorded in DataWeb. Stand alone paper records will not be accepted as proof of compliancy.
Air con looked at again and working fine.
Rob Mitchell is away on leave from the 22nd of March to the 4th of March. Dave Bennett will be acting as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA).

Master's PFD taken up to office for scheduled service (March 2016). Replacement PFD is Dave Bennett's PFD.

Loose earth wire on starter motor on stbd main engine. Could be the reason diagnostic/limp home mode lights are coming on a lot for stbd side.

Run schedules changes for vessels including Torresian. See Dave's Email titled 'Major Timetable Changes'.
Engineer Richard on board for a sea trial to check over heating problems after repairing broken wire on starter motor.

Jeff Davey onboard night shift for crew assessment. Outcome: 1. Always to ask the deckhand if he/she is Fit for Work. 2. At the start of the shift to test Emergency Steering before departing the berth & log the same.
Both main engines recording a drop of boost pressure to 1.6 when the engines are hot. Air filters probably need changing as they look fairly black & blocked.

At 1214 failure on mouse control while reversing. Switched to sticks & back again. All ok. Richard informed of the problem.
Used vacuum cleaner to clean air filters. Although cleaner, no real improvement on boost pressure. Air filters need changing.
Bailey's fuel credit swipe machine has run out of paper to print receipts.

Email sent to Dave asking for replacement fenders for missing and damaged fenders on inside berth at SeaLink. Dave a emailed Des on Cap Spirit asking if his crew can sort it out although they are swinging off today.
Richard onboard and changed port main engine intake manifold. Boost pressure back to normal at 1.8. Stbd side probably needs doing.

08:00 incoming crew to take Torresian straight to the marina as Richard will be onboard to check calibration of jets. He will be bringing engine oil and coolant for Torresian.
Reminder to take Dave's PFD back up to the office when Master's PFD has been serviced.

Email sent to Jed Griffith at Bailey's fuel to put a paper roll into the credit card swipe machine to print receipts and to fix the high speed cam lock fuel nozzle that's been tagged out since the 12th of December.
