Hi Wolffy,
Nothing hugely significant to report but there are a few things worth mentioning mate...
1. There will be a few different items in this weeks stores such as velcro, double sided tape etc. that need to be used to put up the fire extinguisher signs where the oil record book etc. is. One for each extinguisher - there are more on order apparently. Also, it may be worth putting up the Night Time Bunkering Authorisation letter currently hanging on the stbd side of the wheelhouse up on the wall somewhere as we're meant to have it on display. Same with the Emergency Watch Bill flipchart - also needs to be on permanent, prominent display.
2. Had a big clean out of the cleaning closet, self explanatory. Second black box is full of rags if you're looking for any and cant find them!
3. Put new light globes in behind the dash for the engine instruments! Give them a whirl!
4. The reserved signs for bus drivers and operators needs to be put up to reserve the first and second rows of the vessel for the 0540 run each morning. Trish will ned to ensure it is all stowed away on departure. The passengers will remove it themselves.
5. We preseed up tanks on Monday (yesterday), one of the fuel lfiller nozzles (camlock couplings) over there is tagged out so you may need to wait a while if someone else is there. Maybe Ged from Bailey's has fixed it by now... just an FYI. In regards to the fuel figures, Donna was convinced of some 'arrangement' of the tanks being 1000l for the purposes of easily maintaining the log (I went along with as didn't want to rock the boat.... Apparently this was the 'norm' between the swings. I'm not sure of your position on this but as it is now only you and me on here, please advise me accordingly of how you want to run things and I am more than happy to work with you.
6. Sullage and fresh gauges have a mind of their own. Filled fresh and pumped sullage yesterday.
7. Main engines and genset all happy. Not really using any coolant or much oil. Everything has recently ben topped up to an acceptable level and all engine and genset spaces cleaned and pads replaced where needed.
8. Vessel was fully scrubbed down and detailed inside and out Sunday and Monday and floors scrubbed, wheelhouse detailed etc. which should ease you guys into things. All maitenance up to date. Fridge and microwave cleaned.
9. Port side rudder angle sensor had a funny moment this morning, was moving about 5-8 degrees without any input from me or noticable change in direction of the vessel. Could be worth keeping an eye on.
10. Middle aircon unit has intermittent E3 fault on the display screen. Reset breaker and seems to work fine.
11. If you putt back from GL2 to GL4 in the afternoon after the 1635 you can sit on the inside once Torressian departs unless the Chris B has a ship in they sometimes need a park for a transfer. Nothing worse than motoring down there and not having a park. We snuck into in front of the tug one day and tied up till 1800 for the 1820... if you're feeling adventurous.
12. Port side foam extinguisher above engine room is missing a pin - mrf is in. May want to follow up.
Only a few pages left in the paper log. Should be new ones in pigeon hole.
Can't think of anything else at this stage but will call if I do. No urgent outstanding MRFs.
All the best for a safe and productive swing and please call with any questions.
Regards,
Anthony. 0410 678 459.
