<p>Joined vessel 8/11/23 filling in for 3 days </p> <p>* There are a couple of hard copy bulletins in wheelhouse for perusal and discussion throughout toolbox talks , J English spoke with HSE manager regarding new hard covers for fire hose reels having the potential for hand injuries, Sean will discuss with crew sometime soon regarding concerns </p> <p>* 8/11/23 swapped out icom uhf radio charger and cable only for radio stowed on Stbd rack lower deck aft </p> <p>* N Cowan has been on for first 2 days training and has completed drills and I believe is competent to serve as GPH, PLC and anchor operation all good, he still has more training to be completed later in November, however he is a good hand</p> <p>* 9/11/23 My observation is the port aft main thermostat is staying open as it takes a while longer to reach operating temperature compared to the other 3 engines , spoke with Matt from maintenance and requested to monitor, no MRF submitted as yet</p> <p>* 9/11/23 I submitted MRF # 9141 for Stbd genset coolant sensor as when 50 amps of load genset coolant temperature reading 64 degrees </p> <p>* 10/11/23 Email received stating inbox is almost full, I haven't deleted anything to free up any room and will need to be attended too sooner rather than later</p> <p>* Crew requested the aft spring line at GL3 be replaced soon, I haven't ordered any rope during my stint, we have used a length of rope from Stbd void 1 to replace fwd spring line for port side berth in marina </p> <p>* no fuel booking made for next week yet</p> <p>10/11/23 charts updated to edition 23 , chart correction register has information regarding advice notices from MSQ for extreme weather contingency plan and also flare demonstration </p> <p>* The hard copy for sullage disposal had no copies left and Willie has sent through an email flagged 10/11/23, regarding procedure for logging sewerage discharge records </p>
