Hi guys,
welcome back and I hope you had a decent off swing.
Over this swing the following things happened;
- I took the Carly floats out of their cradles and scrubbed between and under them as the coal dust was pretty thick. When we went to lift them the rope handle broke from being sun damaged. I have replaced them all.
- the boat went up on the slip mid swing for a bum clean and new anti foul and is now running a lot quicker and obviously has much better fuel economy. No engine leaks were fixed though as the boys said they would need to lift the motor out for that. As a result, the port main still has the same leaks happening.
- the hand piece on the larger of the vhf radios was changed out as it wasn't transmitting.
- the gas sniffer has been calibrated and a new certificate is in the SMS folder
- a new severe weather plan is in with the documentation
- a new fuel card was issued after the old one stopped working.
- an email came out reminding us all to make sure our stores orders are submitted by no later than 1300 on Tuesdays.
- there's some flagged emails to look through.
- the air cons got cleaned professionally
- air filters on the mains got changed
- there's a new sea strainer for the genset
- maintenance had to change a throttle relays and two jet relays after the port main went to limp mode on the 2nd November. No further issues after they were replaced.
****as I shut down Tuesday night, I noticed a pool of fresh coolant in under the area of the turbo. I have MRF'ed it***
Apart from those things all is going well.
I hope you have a great swing and give me a call if I've missed anything.
thanks,
Steve
