-raw water blockage on strb main engine.
Inspect sea strainer + inlets, inspect outlet flap valve, inspect impeller-rubber blades in tact- key way in tact, rubber still connected to key way/spline, ensure face plate on impeller seals correctly and o-ring in place and present, housing and impeller case inspected, bearing seal intact and not leaking, inspect Pom box inlet and outlets for flaking fibreglass or loose bits of matter that could potentially block the outlet because the bellow collar on the exhaust mixer connected to the Pom box was found leaking severely during initial inspection, later we cut Hole in bottom of Pom box to inspect for an obstruction- all checks were clear, replaced raw water pick up line from strainer to impeller pump as line appeared slightly damaged. No faults found other then leaking bellow collar on Pom box.
It was assumed/deemed that we had sucked up some debris whilst underway which temporarily blocked the inlet but did not go into the strainer, stopped raw water flow then exhaust outlet heated up at the mixer before the Pom box which heated up the collar/mixer to such a degree that warped the brass collar seal and caused a leak due to broken seal on bellow with warped mixer/collar, was never blocked at the Pom box although appeared to be at first diagnostic due to the leak at the bellow seal, re-sealed the collar/mixer to the bellow seal using sika flex and some extra super clamps, now raw water is flowing as normal and eng temp back to normal.
Incident submitted and details of problem solving sent to Gary.
-flushed and cleaned out strb eng room bilge.
-made new non slip mats for bar + tea coffee area, brought down some thicker non slip for plate cupboards.
-removed oxidation from strb aft exhaust area.
-adjusted bridle chafe pads/hoses to cover anchor channel on bow amd better cover the fairleads.
*MRF Bain-Marie fridge electrical short occurring which triggers the isolator for the light and the Fridge-240v
*found coolant leak on strb main eng on top of the second cylinder from back of eng. MRF
*found seeping oil leak from crank case breathing line on strb main eng.
*filled top deck water tank.
