Hi guys,
All things are going well with the boat. Engines and genset have had no issues and we haven't added any coolants or lubricants for the swing. Approximately 200ml of oil added to the port jet unit (existing leak)
The weather has been very ordinary and as a result the coal dust has been thick. The boat and pontoons have been thick with dust and it's hard to keep on top of it but hopefully the wind will swing around and keep it manageable for a while.
These things were done through the swing:
- 8/09 - maintenance repaired the raw water pipe on starboard main under turbo. - 8/09 - cleaned starboard engine room after maintenance onboard as there was a build up of salt around the walls and engine from above leak.
- 10/09 - tv set top box changed out
- 15/09 - 250 hour services on mains
- 18/09 - 500 hour service on genset
- 22/09 - sullage sensor pulled out and fixed
The sullage gauge was faulty and maintenance pulled the sensor out to repair but at this stage it might not be right still, so probably best to err on the side of caution and go off the fresh water guage (as it empties it should be an indicator as to how much is in the sullage tank). Brodie has asked us to monitor it and get back to them if it seems like it still isn't working properly. *Edit* the gauge seem pretty accurate after a few days but I would still keep a check on it.
We have a couple of MRF's in place, nothing too important, but maybe have a browse through them. The one with the bad stink in the bathroom has likely been diagnosed that it was the rough conditions the must have stirre up the contents of the tank, but no one is really sue and maintenance will come and check it out over the next few days.
There is an extra run on DataWeb for 0830 on the 3rd of October.
The slide adjustment lever on the masters chair has been patched up so it catches more securely but maintenance are looking at replacing the whole mechanism in the future.
a sun blind has been installed in the centre window of the wheelhouse.
thanks,
Steve
