Joined vessel on 15/05/2023.
Hi Nathan,
again this swing I joined the vessel late with no handover from casual master that covered my shifts prior, so I am trying to play catch up with what has gone on over this swing.
- noted in engineering log from Luke - 05.05 250hr genset service was completed.
- 15/05 starboard fire pump run hot when tested in weekly checks, water flow was still good. I have requested for the impeller to be inspected. MRF #8661 - Maintenance attended the vessel and inspected impeller & all reports are good. - 15/05 NtAMS - chart correction was emailed through, however after checking the chart it appears that you have already completed this & updated dataweb (174(T)/2023 The special light buoy, Fl.Y.2·5s (23° 55'.61 S 151° 22'.04 E), is off station and in position 23° 55'.71 S 151° 22'.10 E.) - in this event I did not complete the correction and have left it as is as I believe it is completed. whilst I was preparing to complete this I dropped the parallel rule and it has been broken. I have submitted a request for a new one. 20/05. - I have also ordered a replacement torch for the wheelhouse as our one was broken when I joined the vessel.
- 16/05 maintence onboard to complete void inspections
- 19/05 starboard main engine coolant level fail alarm (FAULT 422 PID 111 FMI 002) sensor error has been showing up intermittently & will clear on its own in seconds. Coolant level has been good since I have been on board (I added coolant & I allowed to it settle back to the normal level following the alarms) & temps are all ok. I suspect it maybe a faulty sensor. Brodie was advised & will monitor. Update - this has not occurred since the 20/05. - new signs for the foward hatches are in the wheelhouse, MRF still in place for job to be completed (remove old signs & glue). - MRF #8673 - digital displays for main engine - I have put a MRF in place for the displays been unreadable without a torch. I expect this to be rejected, but at least we have tried and made them aware of possible issues.
- Sullage was pumped to empty 23/05 last day of swing, however is still reading 15% on guage. - fuel was bunkered 23/05
