Hi Joe,
Hope you had a good break.
Its certainly been one of those swings so the handover is a bit lengthy;
04/05 OVID audit carried out - no issues
04/05/23 1515 Incident report submitted for following incident;
Whilst accelerating out from behind RG Tanner and turning to port to cross the Clinton Main channel the following alarm sounded;
Steering Stuck J2
This issue already has MRF 8617 attached
We manoeuvred the vessel into a safe position and switched off the ignitions and restarted which cleared the alarm.
Brody attended and replaced the steering cylinder on the Stb jet unit.
Issue has not occurred again.
08/05 Maintenance carried out 250/500 hour service on mains and genset
10/05 MRF 8647 water found in bilge at end of day, silicon joiner from engine exhaust into wet exhaust riser Stb side had broken the hose clamps. Hose clamps replaced. MRF closed.
11/05 SeaLink operational and compliance audit carried out.
11/05 MRF 8649 new confined space stickers ordered (for void enterance at front row seating) on direction of Des during compliance audit
13/05 MRF 8651 - cover has rusted and fallen off the Stb side air con unit on roof. Repaired and MRF closed.
13/05 MRF 8652 - Genset switching off with low oil pressure warning. Was doing it once a day when we swung on but has been happening more frequently as the days progress 2-3 times a day now so MRF submitted. Genset ECU replaced 15/05 which explains change in engine hours from 18587-34459. This repair has not stopped the issue from occurring. They have placed a mechanical oil pressure gauge in the Genset compartment (port side) to check that the actual oil pressure is OK when the Genset is shutting down due to low oil pressure on the westerbeke gauge in the wheelhouse. Mechanical gauge is showing good oil pressure. Maintenance came down again on 22/05 and seem to have resolved the issue as it hasn't happened again.
23/05 Genset finally gave out and stopped producing any power which turned off the water pump. MRF 8683. Maintenance arttended when we returned to the marina and fixed the issue.
14/05 maintenance changed JM1 sensor on Stb jet unit after multiple alarms.
18/05 Chart corrections made and are up to date.
Port high Water bilge alarm still not working, email sent to Gene and Maintenance operations on 22/05
Fwd air con in saloon missing control panel, air cons are going to be replaced so no action has been done to fix it.
Port main is still dropping a lot of oil, changed soaker pads 3 times during swing - last change was 23/05
We ordered a new bag of soaker pads 23/05
Work has begun on the fenders at GL4 see emails for which stage they are at in removing and replacing fenders. The stern fender is missing at the moment and you will see the stern line is hanging on a rope we strung up.
and finally on our last day we noticed the Sullage was rising quicker than usual, investigated and the flush on the centre head is getting stuck on so we placed a do not use tag on the door as the lock does not work. MRF 8682
Im on BK Wednesday to Friday so if you need any further info or if there are any issues let me know.
Cheers and have a good swing
