* A/C circuit breaker # 5 for aft a/c unit has been arcing behind switch when operated , reported to maintenance verbally 13/4/23 and they checked it out and could only make it do it when switched on slowly and ok'd for us to use it , we operated the switch when changing over power from shore to ship for pm operations 14/4/23 and the switch continually was arcing until switched off. Have submitted MRF # 8581 so best not use it for now. As the aft a/c comes up with fault code and is u/s I have been turning on the circuit breaker prior to this arcing fault in an attempt that the fault code might come good? 17/4/23 Returned to this vessel after serving on another vessel for the weekend and MRF was rejected, queried rejection via email and after returning from break found out of service tag I had placed on AC distribution box removed and it was observed that all the A/C circuit breakers in the AC distribution panel have been replaced. The aft A/C unit that has been u/s for months was brought online for pm operations and run without fail 17/4/23 onwards
* The filing cabinet is unable to be secured , this was recently fitted with a new key barrel a few months ago and I have attempted to repair but there is something wrong with the mechanism, have it wedged up with a cutout coffeee cup and water bottle in front of it , will touch base with Brody when he is back in duty as he fitted this

* There is an assortment of out of service, danger do not operate, information tags in the top draw of filing cabinet if you are in need of one sometime
* 26/4/23 Fuel guages have discrepancies when refuelling. The guages perform pretty good while in operation as each day goes by and is reasonably accurate for usage , however when refuelling the guages don't keep up with the amount of fuel going into the tank at hi flow, also the amount of fuel that goes into the tanks is greater than the guages indicate.
I would recommend that prior to bunkering and during bunkering as follows,
1. Calculate the amount of fuel to go into to each tank to fill to 1250 lts each tank from the guages
2. Operate the fuel nozzle which has 3 settings for flow at the middle setting which gives flow rate of 170 litres per minute @ pump 4 until the fuel level is 100 lts short of your calculated fuel to go into to tank
3. Slow down fuel rate to the slowest setting on the fuel nozzle which delivers @ rate of 32 litres per minute when 100 litres short of calculations to go into tank and this will let the guage settle somewhat
4. Deliver the remaining fuel @ 32 litres per minute monitoring the guages and take guages up to just over 1200 litres per side which will be close to 100 lts over your calculations when finished bunkering each tank, then guages will rise to about 1225 lts per tank when finished which is good level and 5 days of normal operations should be able to be achieved
5. Reset the trip meters for fuel usage on the Cummins panel port + stbd , this is not so important but can be useful for reference, the stbd tank also supplies fuel to the genset
This is just a recommendation as you are the master in charge and feel free to try other methods as you wish, I have refuelled twice this swing, first time bunkering 1936.84 lts total which gurgled at breathers when the guages read 1267 lts each side
