-Assigned walking tracks, dishes, suits etc all the load intensive tasks that crew try to manipulate out of.
There is daily procedure written for even spread of these roles, happy to discuss but have had all rotating crew on this week contribute and revise and all agree that it’s fair and easy to follow (except one)
Haven’t deployed the procedure awaiting Wednesday to show and discuss the plan, it has also been requested by Gary because his had people complain to him directly about crew issues onboard, so to avoid making anyone uncomfortable or single them out we created this list which will put an end to any arguments as it’s the fairest possible way to delegate the roles and easier then just verbal.
-turned the boost up slightly on strb motor as they were not thrusting evenly at idle ranges when manoeuvring- now they are more similar and vessel stays still and screws around now rather then port side being stronger and making vessel move frd or aft during spinning style manoeuvres.
-had a chat to all crew about wash and waxing the windows in wash down everyday as that had seemed to stop (new crew were not aware of it whatsoever) for some reason but has been reinstated and vessel already looking nicer with less salt stuck at end of the day also easier to wash. We need rain-ex after I buff the windows but marlin still haven’t sourced a new wholesaler, I’ll get some on my days off from elsewhere using the sealink card.
-“Ullman sails” have been given the go ahead to continue fixing the rest of the life jacket holders under seats, as the trial run in main saloon centre aft row has been successful, it’s had new style now for 3-4 weeks and all holding up really well.
-under instruction by Desmond have started to complete paper refuel logs, I’ve kept the 2 books we need to fill out together so easy grab and fill out on refuel and sullage each time.
All is is as normal onboard just been completing dataweb tasks, sea strainers, aircon cleaning etc etc etc.
im on deck tomorrow so I shall see you in the Am. have a lovely night mate.
