Not much else to report, no new issues flagged, not much maintenance completed this week as we were servicing the cruise ship, and had online study to complete on the Monday,
lots of crew training has occurred.
Desmomd See was onboard assessing crew performance and vessel knowledge along with capacity to forefill roles in emergency,
all went well but we need to think about bringing their skills up to a higher level in regards to knowing their individual roles in emergency situation, a lot of stepping in eachother toes instead of sticking to one role/confusion but vessel knowledge is really good and all crew can run all machinery and knows location and operation of equipment adequately.
we should think about designating one crew to one role for extended periods of time As to allow them to become more competent at their own roles and then be able to teach the next crew how to get to that standard, rather then rotating roles every single day.
also expressed the lack of assistance we received from engineering, we can only do so much whilst also full time running ship, Thai is to busy and we need an engineer, currently we survive due to half day tours not being full and allowing some things to be complete by us, once the vessel is full time without the spare half days we currently have theres no way we can look after her alone and will need an engineer in the area to continue to kee the vessel in survey.
still no news on portside main eng faulty high lube oil temp alarm, or coolant flush which is required or heat exchanger clean out or anode replacement in heat exchanger or gasket replacement on heat exchangers, or anything else on the mrf outstanding list, maybe soon with any luck someone can come check these things.
