We had a cracked weld coming from the mixer (pong box) on the port main, leaked water into engine room and nearly reached the high water alarm. Replaced with new piping. Keep an eye on stbd welds for cracks or leaks throughout the raw water system as aparantly this wasn’t the first time a weld has cracked on other scania’s.
We had another water leak on port Genset strainer seal. Whoever cleaned the strainer last, last swing, did not put the seal back on properly as it was pinched in the top when bolted down, breaking the seal and obviously causing a leak. Just a reminder to make sure seals are in properly before tighting up the lid. Seal replaced.
THE RED KNIFE!!!! Who has it???? That knife has been on BK for at least 6 years and it was missing when we swung on (red victronox cerated cutlery knife) please return.
Loose wire on Genset causesing it to rev high and low.. re wired and fixed the problem. Genset is running good but still leaking a fair bit of oil, new pads in there but keep an eye on the old girl, she’s on her last legs and apparently only needs to get us through another month or 2 before new generator arrives.
Check flagged emails.
Carley raft straps have been removed for replacement (ratchet strap on there now) carley rafts will still operate as normal i.e, hydrostatic release will work and pulling the pelican clip will release rafts.

New air curtain port aft deck installed.
Get up to date with familiarising yourself on radar and plotter operations as Des is going around checking masters are competent using the systems which I think is a bloody good idea ! VML’s, EBL’s, plotting a course, setting tracks etc
