Hi Nathan,
Jag's last day was Tuesday the 13th. I started on the following day at TSA berths. Mick, a new engineer/mate in training started Thursday the 15th.
On the 15th on the busy afternoon run on an engine room check the port genset did not shut down with a pre-alarm high engine temp and coolant at 104C. From the 16th we started running 2 gensets in the afternoon. On that same day we put an MRF #1798 in because the port genset did not shut down in high temperature.
On the 17th port genset ran at 92C drawing less Amps than STBD genset on the busy run.
On the 18th we vacuumed debris out of port & STBD engine rooms lifting deck plates.
On the 19th Richard fitted a new water pump to port genset. He also replaced some flexible 100mm exhaust pipe on aft port genset from the mixer to the muffler as per request in MRF#1672.
MRF#1789 still outstanding which refers to wheelhouse hot water tap (zip hydro tap) switch defective.
MRF#1642 still outstanding which refers to STBD aft main engine wheelhouse analogue gauge still defective & needs to be replaced.
Faint smell of exhaust gas leak in port main engine space that was first noticed a few days ago but no visible sign of exhaust leak.
Check the function of all hand driers in toilets. Possible at least one does not work.
battery banks are on & all sea cocks valves are open.
Have a good swing.
