Ok here goes, lots of issues over the past few weeks and a variety of different engineers onboard so I'll note what I know about;
Current MRF,s;
24/06 9771 Air con heat exchanger pipes (not sure what this one's about submitted by Steve Bell)
29/06 9796 Port Genset switched off and would not reconnect- fixed 05/07
01/07 Alarm- Loss of engine RPM fault showing on Stb main, maintenance investigated and needs a scan tool to find cause of fault but advised it is not an issue and operate as per normal
02/07 Stb genset leaking coolant from reservoir return hose, maintenance can not fix so bucket and soaker pad placed underneath
Stb gearbox oil cooler leaking from hose fitting at cooler and sensor on gearbox maintenance notified - repair work completed
Stb engine room forward air damper has water ingress and maintenance notified - no action yet
05/07 Stb genset leaking oil from oil filter, tightened but has reoccurred so retightened and will continue to monitor
08/07 9820 - ships horn
10/07 Port main starter motor failed and replaced
11/07 Low coolant level warning Stb main- sensor replaced 13/07
port main starter motor failed again and replaced again
9833 stb genset continues to drop into AC supply fault, engine still runs but no power, we have reset it so it can be used for emergency steering etc in case Stb drops out, investigated 15/07 and could not find fault so continue to monitor
9837 port main high temp alarm - water pump replaced 15/07
9838 Stb main high temp alarm
9839 VHF radios not transmitting, receiving only - batteries dead and can not find suitable replacement (refer to masters handover notes)
14/07 port main starter motor failed again again and replaced again again!!!
15/07 port main water pump failed and replaced
OK that's it for the MRF,s
New cam lock fittings placed on sullage discharge hose, valves in sullage voids are set for Stb side pump out, very small leak in cam lock fitting on bow requires blue bucket to catch drips, very small leak in flange next to hull from cross over pipe on stb side sullage void requires blue bucket to catch drips, tiny amount of drips and has been investigated by maintenance and that's as good as it gets, feel free to call me for explanation.
Ian Fleetwoods Sounding tape for fuel readings in plastic bag under Racor filters Stb side
Port freshwater gauge not working fill both together and use Stb side gauge for reference
we have found the tapes in the toilets left on after numerous runs so as part of our cabin clear checks we are checking the toilets to confirm the taps are off
thats about all I can think of as always call if you need any further info and have a great swing
