<p>Greetings Nathan,</p> <p>Quite a bit to report mate, so I’ll just jump right in the deep end.</p> <p>Last 6 days:</p> <ol> <li>Replaced many light globes and starters in areas where lighting not functional or flickering.</li> <li>Changed all engine room pads on Sunday afternoon and vacuumed out bilges dry yesterday (22/07) so what you’re seeing is what has occurred over the last two days. Changed the worst jet room ones - a couple not worth changing.</li> <li>Cleaned and lanolined the port no 1 bilge corrosion.</li> <li>Fitted fire proofing insulation to port and stbd engine room hatches as it was missing.</li> <li>Topped up all fluids to acceptable levels. At prestarts 22/07 all coolants fine, oil port fwd, stbd fwd full, port aft half full and stbd aft three quarters. Gearbox oil levels all just on, or under full, and stable.</li> <li>Fixed two flow meters / sensors. All fully operational.</li> <li>Vacuumed out and lanolined port and stbd save alls, hadn’t been done in a while I think.</li> <li>There are a lot of MRFs I submitted for various unreported issues. Get familiar.</li> <li>Today you will be up the slip to fix Part B of the raw water leak at exhaust elbow. You will see the salt etc. on stbd aft main. This will need a clean and lanolin coat when fixed.</li> <li>Replaced batteries in grab bag torch, was not functional.</li> <li>Put spacer washers in the smoke curtain retaining saddle on vessel centreline so that the retaining strap fits through. Discovered issue during drills.</li> <li>On taking over vessel port forward main engine had low coolant and was going into limp mode. Keeping coolant topped up has thus far avoided the issue. See fluids added to bring things up to scratch in log on 17/7/19 (10L coolant added to this engine!).</li> <li>No urgent stores engineering wise.</li> <li>Removed “JAMES GRANT” children’s lifejackets off vessel.</li> <li>Removed oily waste drums on aft deck (full) and spare fuel for tender which was stale. One drum is half full and you have one empty one tied on aft deck.</li> <li>ESRs in for top up of tender fuel, port stern outboard lifering retainer and spare main engine oil.</li> <li>240v switchboard tags say test is out of date. See email, they are okay.</li> <li>See flagged emails.</li> <li>Downstairs aft aircons in morning have been okay with two fwd ones on fan only (1 fan) and rears on 24 degrees and cool. Been getting complaints from reserve seat pax that it’s too cold. Checked with them this morning and they said it was good.</li> <li>Replaced lettering on liferings as required.</li> </ol> <p>That’s all that comes to mind for now bud.
