Hi guys the MRFs that we put in are mostly preventative precautionary, we started experiencing intermittent problems with the port fire alam that were not related to the micro switch , the fire alam in the engine room stays on after the test is finished, this started happening every day and a second test would reset it, then shutting off power to the system reset it, finally it just kept going unless power to the system was isolated which effectively rendered the alarm system for the entire boat null. The module in the dash was the issue, it was replaced and no problem since, however we have seen the first hints starting in the Stbd side, gibbo is aware of the MRF and was arranging to have a module sitting on the shelf just in case it goes .
Reports of the Stbd Genset shutting down on 3 occasions, low oil and Hugh temp were the supposed causes but there was no indication of an actual problem, MRF submitted to check the sensors and ECU , similar o the problems we had previously before the ECU required changing.
the wheelhouse door seal is in good condition but the block that the lever lock comes down onto is not far enough out so the front section of the dor does not pul in tight enough to give a good seal, MRF has been submitted.
